We can't go around banning things just because we don't agree with the content. I just answered another question about banning the book The Chronicles of Narnia. What a ridiculous concept! If we start banning books and movies simply because we don't agree with the content, it wouldn't be long until there would be no books or movies or anything, because there is always someone who doesn't agree with something in a book or movie. I don't agree with the Divinci Code, but it shouldn't be banned because of it. People have a right to read and watch whatever they deem fit for themselves - not because someone else said they should or should not read/watch it!

I don't know of any book or movie called "The Divi Code."
Perhaps you mean "The DaVinci Code/"
With regards to your question, NO book should EVER be banned.

LOL...I love it when Christians get wistful for their book-burning days.
No, it should not be banned. I don't see why anybody would want to read it, because Dan Brown is the worst author ever to pick up a pen - but millions have, and it's their prerogative.
Hey, I bet all sorts of books are unavailable in, say, Afghanistan. Maybe you'd feel a lot more comfortable and secure over there.

And who is going to decide what is to be banned? No book should ever be banned. You do not have to read it. Just because one book is in conflict with another is no reason to ban either. Why not ban every astronomy, history, and evolution book since they do not agree with the bible?

I believe:
People who believe everything they read from a book or see at a theater should be banned from reading and watching movies.

Banned on what grounds?
BTW, banning it will make it more popular than EVER and make those who banned it look like there is something in it they are actually trying to HIDE or are AFRAID of.
Oh and book banning is one of the early warning signs of facism.

No. I enjoyed both the book and the movie. I didn't find that they in any way affected my religious convictions. The Bible doesn't say that Christ was married, but it also doesn't say that he wasn't. Actually, for a Jewish man his age in that time period to not be married would have been unusual enough that Biblical writers would have likely commented on it. For him to have been married and have children wouldn't have affected what he did for me, or my belief in him.

Whether it's fiction or whether it's truth, NO! No one owes Christianity or any faith any special courtesy in the form of quelling anyone's free speech. I have every right to read whatever I please without worry that you or others might find it offensive to your faith. You owe my beliefs no special respect, I owe no special regard for yours. Banning the da vinci code or any such writing would be something more befitting of Islam.

No, but it might be helpful for people to know that Dan Brown is a masterclass expert at weaving facts and fiction in such a way as to make it all look like fact.
