find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Snowden884 is 100% right. You can't target a specific area.
Yes, walking is good, but if you really want to speed up the process you should try jogging or running. Make sure you're doing it aerobically though (breathing is really important).
Of course, if you can't run because of knee/ankle problems or if you get shin splints easily, you should walk - or use an elliptical trainer, if you have a gym you can go to.
The biggest thing that it all boils down to is you have to eat less. Your calories in have to be less than your calories out (regular daily usage + exercise) if you ever want to lose weight. You'll have to eat less and you should eat healthily, but really you can eat whatever you want as long as you eat it in small amounts and factor it in with the rest of what you eat that day.
Good luck!! :)

Building muscle is better than just loosing weight. Muscle weighs more than fat but it's better for your body. Muscle uses the calories that are in your body. When you walk, it depends. If you just take a walk straight, it might tighten your muscles a little bit, but it will most likely help you loose weight. If you go up a hill, it will build more muscle because it's harder to climb a hill then to walk straight. With the stomach, walking can help loose a bit in the stomach, but the only thing I can say is exercise, and change it up so you don't get bored.

It is a popular myth that you can target fat in certain areas of your body. If you do exercises for that area.
If you want to lose some weight in those areas it might take some time if that is where your individual body stores excess fat.
Your best option is to do a total body, aerobic work out that tones and burns fat, and does not focus on just one individual body area.
get your heart rate up for extended periods of exercise if capable and eat right. With dedication and time I'm sure you will see the results you want.

Walking and running is good if you want to lose inches and weight. Aerobics are good for that too as long as you are on the floor. Anything with steps, like Step aerobics, the elliptical machine, stair climber, etc will tone you up but it makes your muscles bulkier and you will probably go up in size. Stick to walking/jogging. As far as your abs I would suggest basic crunches and side to side crunches meeting your head with your knee. Good luck.

Remember the thigh master? I still use mine and it really helps and I also have an ab lounge, when I use it faithfully I can lose inches around my waist but I tend to get a little lazy :)
