Dear Justin,
We live in a culture of death, not the culture of life Jesus preached about.
What so many are missing is that pro-lifer's are pro-choice too - they support a woman's right to choose life - and they also support her right not to - why? Because they believe that God gave us all free-will. Thus a woman who is with child can choose not to let that child live, can choose to kill it.
Unfortunate, but God wanted us all to have the freedom to choose - He wants us to choose Him, to choose life, but also lets us reject Him and reject life.
Those who are pro-life are for life, both in support of unborn babies and of the women who carry them! Those women who are pro-life are not against having rights - the opposite - they are for having the right to give birth to healthy babies and for the rights of babies not yet born!
It is our place Justine to pray, to intercede before the throne of God in prayer for the souls of those who choose death and accept the ways of the culture of death we live in. It is our place to show what it is to choose life. It is our place to love those who have had abortions and pray for them. It is our place to support all mothers and all women and help them in the huge struggle they endure.
Don't be discouraged, many will rage against you, but don't be afraid to speak out - we are the voices in the wilderness. But at the same time, do it with love, charity, patience and respect - it will get you a lot further and your reward will be great in heaven!
In Christ,
PTK.

I'm pro-life, I was adopted as a baby and I was a single mom with a baby and no husband. I don't want to turn back the clock, I would like to see women be educated on what abortion really is and what it does to their bodies before they decide. Places like Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers do not tell the whole story when a woman is scared and seeking answers. They don't learn that what they will get scraped and vacuumed out of their uterus is not "products of conception", it's an actual baby, show them what is in the tray after it's done. Abortion sometimes causes so much scarring that the woman can never conceive again when she wants to. And, a woman can even die from the procedure. You never hear about that on the evening news. All of the so-called "pro-choice" places are really "pro-abortion" places. Abortion is multi-million dollar business and no abortion provider or the companies that make the equipment want it to go away, they would lose money.

Dear Justin:
I'm a Christian and I'm also pro-life, but I have some major concerns with overturning Roe v Wade, and I hope that you will hear my arguments out here.
First of all, I also prize life and feel that abortion is the murder of not just a mass of tissue, but a living being. It should not be anyone's choice to choose one life over another, especially by terminating the other life form for their own convenience.
But here is where I differentiate from the other Christians in terms of pro-life. I am absolutely opposed to overturning Roe v Wade for several good reasons. Primarily because I don't believe that the people who want this law opposed have truly thought through what will happen if this law is overturned. That is why I cannot support making abortions illegal. My reasoning is this: take any law that people do not agree with, and they won't follow it. I can guarantee you that if I knew you well enough, I probably could tell you something that if it were illegal to do or not to do something you felt was morally right, you would not follow the law. For instance, if you are a Christian and suddenly it would become a criminal offense to worship God, would you stop? Probably not. It's the same with making abortions illegal. Overturning that law will be the same as what happened in the 1920s with Prohibition. The result of Prohibition was organized crime and the speakeasies that came about. You cannot legislate certain moral issues. In the case of overturning Roe v Wade, it will create the same issue. Only now, it will be doctors and trained medical professionals who understand how to perform an abortion that will do them "under the table". Now, some of you may feel that making this illegal will stop the slaughter of these babies, but will it really?
If making abortions illegal, would resolve all problems, then take a look at Latin America and all the Catholic-led countries that not allow abortions. In particular, look at the problems that are happening with too many children and not enough spaces in orphanages over in those countries. There are a LOT of children, as early as age two that are on the street.
While we have visions in America of waiting lines for adoption, then why do we have so many minority children in our country that are not cared for? Also, why don't these same people be willing to adopt a foster child, who may never have
the love of a parent. A lot of women can't give up a baby, but can't take responsibility for an older child either. Those children are the ones waiting for adoption and there are long lists, especially minority children who are waiting for loving homes.
I hate the thought of a child aborted, but I also hate the thought of the problems that will result, that simply won't stop by passing a law.

Because you, and all the others of the same mind, are in denial of what you are actually doing. Pro-choice people, are simply pointing it out to you. I know that many pro-life people think all abortions are done around the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy and it's almost always used as a type of birth control.
If you really care and want to know the facts, research how many women died in pregnancies that affected their health. Study how many women died or were infected by having an unprofessionally performed abortion when it was illegal.
Here are some statistics I have. 90% of all abortions are in the first tri-mester, 8% are in the second so I guess that leaves two percent in the third.
Abortion is not cheap so I seriously doubt anyone uses it as a form of birth control.
There are the health reasons. Since a females body undergoes such huge changes, there are many opportunities for something to go wrong.
There's the argument of what if it's a rape baby. Unless you're an exceptional psychiatrist who can read minds and tend to the hundreds, thousands (?) of such cases, I really don't see how you can think you're going to be able to say anything to comfort a woman in that position.

I am pro-life and i believe that the argument that abortion is a woman's choice because it's her body is ridiculous.
Would it be ok If one woman killed another woman's baby because she thought the baby would live a terrible life if it lived? No, it would be considered murder, but if a woman kills her own baby it's "ok" because it's in her body & thus it's her choice. Personally I think the woman's right is to choose whether or not to have sex..... If she is ready for sex she should be prepared for what could happen ..... If she is unprepared to handle the possible consequences or protect herself to avoid becoming pregnant then she should not be having sex.
I happen to be an atheist and don't follow any religion, but I find it ironic that a lot of the people who are pro-choice are atheists as well...... the very same people who criticize christians for believing in a murderous god are the same ones who believe a mother should be able to choose life or death of her own creation. Life is precious and nobody has the right to terminate a life simply because they can't handle the responsibility of having a child or they're "not ready" for it. There are PLENTY of people who wait for years to adopt children so there's no excuse.
I put the blame on the families of the ones who get pregnant because i know that in a lot(not all) of the cases of abortion come from teenagers who experiment with sex, get pregnant and they're forced to get an abortion because the parents would disown them if they found out. Kids need to have understanding from their parents. The world now is a lot different than the world when they were kids. Nowadays sex is EVERYWHERE and it's tempting kids to experiment.... There's nothing that can be done to stop it so they need to be seriously educated. Instead of the kids being told that god says sex out of marriage is evil.....they need to understand what sex is and what it means & what the repercussions can be if you're not safe. There are mistakes in life that you cannot just throw away.... pregnancy is one of those "mistakes." Killing a baby is not a solution.. it's an easy way out or an act of desperation. If having a baby would have a significantly negative impact on your life....... You shouldn't be doing something that is going to increase your chances of having a baby (having sex) plain and simple.

Most of these responses ASSUME that the pregnancy was because of a consensual act. Most Pro-Life propaganda I have heard is against ALL abortions. So, about all those women who have been raped - you are going to force her to carry to term a result of her rape? And the little girls who are sexually abused, what about them? Oh, and for those who are using birth control and it fails? And ectopic pregnancy? When carrying to term will guarantee the death of the mother (wouldn't this be murder)?
If someone who claims to be pro-life can bomb a clinic or kill a person who performs abortions, it causes me to doubt how pro-life this person really is. It sounds more like forcing your own beliefs on everyone else. I know not all pro-lifers are like this, but you've got some bad apples that are making the rest of you look like insane fanatics and religious zealots.
ADDED: You guys are really quick with the thumbs down, but what about an answer to some of those questions? Justify forcing a woman to have a daily reminder of her rape. Justify a victim of sexual abuse being forced to have a child when she is just a child herself. Justify killing a woman by forcing her to have a baby when she MEDICALLY shouldn't.

I agree. I am a pro life woman. I believe that if you are adult enough to have sex. Then you need to be adult anough to take care of the responsibility that may come with that. Too many woman think that because the baby is inside them that it's all about their body and what they want. Let's be honest. Women don't abort because they don't want a baby growing inside of them. It's because they don't want to take care of a baby when it is born. If you are pro choice then be pro for the choice of the baby being aborted. O' wait he/she didn't get one! But look on the bright side... at least all you pro choicers didn't get aborted right?

Believe me, I've had the same argument used against me (I'm pro-life, and a woman), and I don't know where to start with expressing how much it frustrates me. Ever since I was ten years old, and I was given a simple explanation as to what abortion was, it SICKENED me. And it has ever since, even when I wasn't a Christian, which is most of my life. As a matter of fact, abortion has bothered me for sixteen years, and I've only been a Christian for seven months.
I don't want to turn back the clock. I want people to learn to be responsible for their actions. Don't want children? Don't have sex! If one MUST have sex, use protection! Why is it that those who are against abortion are in the wrong, for wanting people to take responsibility for themselves and their actions? Don't they remember when it was often said that if you don't want to get burned, don't play with fire?
Well, every time a person who doesn't want children has sex, they're playing with fire! And the fire is CONSIDERABLY hotter when they have unprotected sex.
I'm pretty passionate about this, obviously.

I speak as a Father of seven who watched all my children come into the world. Every time it was a beautiful experience
and holding them in the delivery room was very special! I am not chauvenistic in any way - I went into the delivery room to encourage and strengthen my wife through her pain.
Abortion is an ugly thing. I have seen pictures of mangled bodies torn limb from limb (and they were fully formed babies
not fetuses). I have seen pictures of salt saline babies burned
to death in their mother's womb (also fully formed babies), and it is so pitiful a sight that anyone who saw it and wasn't moved by it is insensitive to everything but their own self.
I have seen nurses and doctors testimonies of how a baby would come out fully formed and partly aborted, and they would throw the baby in a mop bucket and shut the door. The people walking by the closet would ignore the cries of the baby until they stopped, and the poor baby died alone with no relief to ease the incredible pain they were going through.
It is amazing to me that so many women and men want to fornicate freely without taking responsibility for their actions.
They never think of the baby suffering - it is the mother that is supposed to be the victim. Women claim that it is their body
and they can do what they want with it. What hogwash!!! God
gave you that body to use righteously and take care of.
1% of all abortions have to do with rape or health reasons. The rest fit into the category above. Irresponsible people have now killed over 40,000,000 babies since 1973 and another 1,000,000 every year die in incredible pain that should never be inflicted on a human being at any age.
I challenge those who are pro-choice to get some pictures of abortions and see just what you are condoning. I don't think most of you could handle it. Reality is out there for anyone who will face up to it. One picture would destroy all your arguments forever.
God is more than willing to forgive the perpetrators of this heinous act, but He will judge and sentence the unrepentant.
Your thumbs down will reveal your desire to continue in ignorance of this truth, and your sinfulness and selfishness.
Your repentance will show God you truly regret this terrible decision to destroy the precious life He sent for you to love,
and He will heal you mentally, psychologically, and spiritually.
Your "choice!"
EDIT: ONE OTHER THING! PLANNED PARENTHOOD IS THE BIGGEST BUTCHER SHOP ON EARTH. THEY FEED LIES INTO THE MINDS OF PRO-CHOICE PEOPLE SO THEY CAN KEEP ON FATTENING THEIR POCKETS WITH BLOOD MONEY FROM THE VICTIMS. THEY HAVE BEEN
CAUGHT HIDING INFORMATION INCLUDING COUNSEL FILMED IN THIER OWN CLINIC ENCOURAGING THEIR VICTIMS TO LIE ABOUT THEIR AGE, AND ETC. THEIR STATISTICS ARE DISTORTED SO FAR FROM TRUTH IT IS INCREDIBLE. - Further, the people that blow up abortion clinics have never been Christians so get that through your thick skulls. We are tired of the blatant lies of fools against Christians from people who run from responsibility or want to use us as a scapegoat to run from their conscience and cover
their sin. YOU ARE THE MOST IRRESPONSIBLE GROUP WHEN IT COMES TO THIS BECAUSE YOUR RESEARCH IS ONE-SIDED AND WILL ALWAYS BE UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SEE THE BABY'S POINT OF VIEW.

Actually, abortion allows men just as much ability to avoid responsibility as women. (If any person can prove that they didn't know that sex leads to babies, then they are not avoiding responsibility, it was just a mistake.)
There are years-long adoption waiting lists. My sister waited seven years to be able to adopt, during that time, approximately 10.5 million babies (oops, pieces of tissue) were murdered.
BTW I am a woman who despises abortion
