My bridesmaids and I just went to regular stores in the mall and looked at classy dresses that weren't exactly typical bridesmaids gowns but looked great for a wedding anyway. We found some nice ones for $45 a piece! Just take a walk around your local mall or a department store. You'll be surprised what you can find.

My sister got her bridesmaid dresses for about $50 each. She went to Ross, which is like a Marshalls or TJ Maxx. The dresses were beautiful and you'd never know how cheap they were. Check all the stores for after-prom clearance. I know JC Pennys has good sales. When I was planning my wedding, I got my mom's dress at David's Bridal for about $35. It was on clearance, but was beautiful. I used to work there and I know that they can look and see if other stores have the same dress in various sizes as well. You'll have to pay for shipping, but sometimes it's worth it. Good Luck!

I had the same problem. Then I stumbled on to one dresses on ebay. For my sister, (14 years old) I choose a spaghetti strap dress that was baby blue and real simple. Then for my other bridesmaid, (20 years old) I found a royal blue dress with baby blue that was strapless.
Different styles are fine. I liked the idea of one in one color then the other in a different color and also you can mix and match your colors.
I would suggest to ask what styles they are comfortable in.
ebay has many differnt dresses, for reasonable prices, and also look at dillards, sear. jcpenny's, prom dresses should be on sale pretty soon.
Good Luck

Any regular department store will have tons this time of year (wedding season, prom season). Macys, JC Penney, etc.
www.chadwicks.com has also had some really nice dresses before for around $50-$75.

Sometimes if you go into dress shops or wedding shops they have discounted ones that are discontinuing so they sell them for cheaper. I had very simple dresses for my wedding that I got for 30 becasue it was an out of date line.

Just try going to a regular department store. The juniors section should have plenty of options if you're looking for something semi-formal.

Target.com. I just found out they have a line of bridal party dresses, many under $50, and they're really cute!
