It depends, if you eat like a horse, and a diet purely of fatty foods it will take you longer than someone who eats healthiyl and doeas the same amount of sit ups. It also depends on the types of muscle fibers in your abdomen, some people can never achieve a six pack becasue of the length of these fibers, but if you do it you will see a diffrence in not very long

Getting a six pack is based on a few things. Genetics are important, low body fat percentage, and toned abdominals.

Situps will only partially fulfill one of these requirements. And, you also have to work your lower abdominals and obliques. Do leg lifts, reverse crunches to tone your lower abdominals. Do situps and weighted crunches to tone your upper abs. Resistance is needed after bodyweight crunches and situps become easy.

Low body fat percentage is obtained by eating healthy and not consuming too many excess calories and fat and doing cardiovascular exercise at least 3-5 times a week for a duration of 30 minutes of at least moderate intensity.

Genetics is something you can't change..but if you keep doing it ...you will will at least get a four pack. I have heard some people just tend to store more fat in the abdominal region regardless of how much they work out...and actually need surgery to reduce it..so their six pack will show.

In addition, reduce your stress level...people who are stressed tend to produce cortisol which tends to store fat in the abs.

Good luck.

You will not, you will get a back problem as a reward. You will develop muscle too, but no six pack. If you want that, go to a sport school and get coached. At least that way you stay healthy instead of wearing out the discs of your lower back.

only doing sit ups won't get u a 6 pack u have to do stuff like superman, sizzor crunches, bicycle abbs, any many other stuff sit ups only focuses on the upper abbs not the lower abbs so you will end up getting a flat upper body but fat lower lol sry for ruiening this for you but your doing the wrong thing to get a 6 pack

The amount of sit-ups is not the right question. In order for your abs to show your bodyfat should be under 10%. So is more a matter of nutrition.
