If you eat these kids of foods all the time it might make you put on weight in the long run, but not if you just have a bad day. If you crave bread, make sure it is a multigrain bread rather than Wonder bread. Even though I dont like wheat pasta it is better for you, but I have learned that I can eat half the pasta I normally would if i fill the other half with steamed broccoli. So dont panic tomorrow will be a better day.

you probably won't gain weight just from doing this on one day, but in general, yes, that is bad. potatoes have an extremely high glycemic index and will spike your blood sugar, and are loaded with carbs, so your body stores it as fat and it throws your system off. bread and pasta are killers if they are not whole wheat or whole grain. as for 'enjoying whatever you like' as another poster suggested, that makes no sense - or else we'd all be eating total junk every day and blowing up like balloons.
don't worry about one day of this, but consider it a cheat and don't do it in the future.

Yes
Certain carbs are bad for you. If you eat white bread you may as well be eating sugar. Try eating brown rice or whole wheat pasta and bread. The best foods you can eat are lean proteins and vegetable. Try salmon, veg and brown rice or chicken with whole wheat pasta. Good Luck

I don't think you will it depends what you actually eat with the pasta bread and potatoes that will determine if you put weight on. If you are eating them with nothing else it's fine as they are all carbs and combine well.

Eating lots of carbs for one day won't make you put on weight kitten. You might feel a bit sluggish for the next day of so though!
Maybe just pick 1 or 2 in future. ;)

No necessariy if you're burning it off. I'd be careful of all the starch though, especially if they're all refined (white). You may want to try alternatives to the standards, like whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and my favorite - sweet potato.

depends on your metabolic type... easy way to discover...
do you ever feel bloated after eating bread, pasta, tatties?
if yes, cut that item from your diet for 10 days, see how you feel.
Refined (White) flour products can lead to weight gain due to water retention.
Are they all white flour based? if yes, try switching gradually to wholgrain....
Carbs are good if you are exercsing, its like putting bp ultimate in your car. your body needs them and functions best when carbs are taken in.
A rule of thumb..... eat what you enjoy, and what makes you feel good..... never buy half fat food, just eat half of the full fat version.. enjoy food, dont endure it.
