It isn't a bad thing to flirt and have fun! Smile a lot, say hi, ask him how he is. Go to lunch! You will never know unless you try.
Just relax and enjoy! Until you are friends you won't even know if you like the guy! And who knows, you might not work together forever!

Assuming you've already checked him out during break times (probably with others around, too, making it safer) and exchanged comments during such 'group' communications, I'd say just drop him a note about going to some cafe for lunch break or even some after work spot where everyone hangs out - it may be easier doing it in a threesome (or more) so it doesn't look to everyone else that one rejected the other if one on one meetings don't pan out.

Be patient - anything worth waiting for is worth waiting for.

A little flirting and fun is not good. Your giving him the wrong impression Honey, so, stop it.
A work relationship is never going to work. They never do. There's always going to be someone else around the corner that's going to be waiting for the next one so. Sorry.

You're kinda in my situation, except that I don't REALLY like him (yet? I don't wanna). But I'm curious and like to get to know him more...I'm 23, he's 26, but I don't know if I want to mix that with work. =S Doesn't it suck!?!
