The simplest thing to do is to sleep on your side or stomach. When we sleep, the dilator muscles of the pharynx relax, and this can cause obstruction with snoring. Sleeping on the side allows the tongue to fall forward, relieving the obstruction.
If it is severe, you may have sleep apnea issues and need evaluation by a professional.
