First of all you already seem to know the basics and then some. First I cut the watermelon in half to make it more manageable, then cut each 1/2 in 1/2 again, then start cutting triangles (or pizza shaped slices) Depending on who I am serving I sometimes cut melon balls, or squares. This is easier for children, all the rinds are already removed and disposed of, easier to clean up .. One of my favorites is to cut an oval circle on top, then spoon out about 1/3 of the melon, add some rum in the cut out part, cut the part you removed in small balls or chunks put back in the melon (if room) put the lid back on and refrigerate overnight , serve at BBQ or picnic. The rum and the melon meld together giving you a smooth fruity adult party drink A little bit of rum goes a long way I usually use a dark rum.

It'll take a while and you'll want to keep the area clean, and covered with Neosporin and a bandaid. But the skin will regrow.

skin does regrow...I had a wart on my finger and they froze it off, well the skin around it bubbled up and after 3 days i am like this is gross so i popped it and cut the skin off...i put antibiotic on it put a band aid on for a day. then i left the band aid off the next day but kep putting a dab of antibiotic on, then by the third day put nothing on and the skin grew back...your body can heel itself, just keep it covered for a day or so to avoid infection, but you do need to let air get to it, but really i would go to the doctor. and poor a little hydrogen peroxide on it too.

Yes, it will regrow. I've sliced the ends off my thumbs (once in a meat slicer, once with a box cutter) and the skin grew back. I can still tell where the wounds were, however.

Depends upon how deep the cut is. If the cut is above the dermis it should grow back to what it was before. Otherwise, the skin will show a scar.
