Why does every one insist that Bi-Polar is a rapid change of mood swings? Its not. It is for like six months of the year you are generally sad. And than the next six months of the year your overall mood changes. Rapid Bi-Polars only switch up to 4 times a year. Why does everyone assume that Bi-polar disorder is a constant mood swing thing. Look up a book called I hate you dont leave me. Borderline. borderlines have rapid mood swings not bi-polar people. Anyways may I ask why they all assume this?(not all but most)

I am not attacking anyone you butt heads. I am asking WHY people confuse it I understand what they both are. Maybe you should read a book or go ask a true doctor not just a nurse. Ask a social worker who knows these things. I am sorry for all who misunderstood my rant. It isnt a rant it is a question. I am asking because I truly wonder why few people know the difference. Thank you for your opinions I respect them and will take them into consideration

Read your literature. It's out there.
True bi-polar is manic/depressive, where the patient goes from extreme highs to extreme lows for no apparent reason.
There is no "time of year" statue of limitations on manic/depressive episodes.
Now, bi-polar is so frequently mis-diagnosed that no one really knows the true meaning of the disorder now.
Many people diagnosed "bi-polar" are just given that label until the psychologists find out what is truly wrong with you, IF there is anything wrong with you. Sometimes it's just how life is treating you at the time going through the highs and lows.
Didn't make that up, got that information from a practicing psychologist in Oklahoma that a friend of mine works with.

Why do you lump all bipolars and borderlines into cleanly defined and segregated groups? Each person is unique and how their disorders are expressed are also unique. In thirty five years of nursing, I have seen very rapid mood swings in bipolar patients, and yes, gradual swings as well. And I have seen borderline dysfunctionals that have no apparent mood swings at all. Check your facts before making blanket statements.

nicely. if he punches himself then there could definitly be something there. I conflict with BiPolar. that's different for each individual like my uncle (who died 2 weeks in the past from a fulfillment and run) he could get suicidal, delusional, and in basic terms undeniable frightening my cousin sounds plenty like your brother. different than he gets delusions. like god despatched him to do stuff. now it has gotten to the factor that if he does no longer take his meds-he is going right away to detention center. BiPolar is an exceedingly severe project. the quicker you seize it-the extra constructive could he be open to seeing a psychiatrist in basic terms as quickly as. to be sure what he thinks. additionally he could desire to take anger managment instructions. medicine for anger problems- i comprehend temper stablizers help very plenty. and there are some different excersises he can do if he can experience himself getting to a snapping factor i could attempt and communicate him in to seeing a expert-whether its in basic terms as quickly as so which you adult adult males could have an thought what you're doing upload: whoever suggested BiPolar swings arent that speedy is faulty. the speedier they are-the extra risky he would be. I actual have seen people who basically have a substantial swing some cases a three hundred and sixty 5 days. yet I additionally comprehend many those that extra healthful an analogous description as your brother

good question. doctors now a days lable you that(bi-polor) and sonetimes it is correct and sometimes not, just like when a child is a little hyper they say adhd. Sometimes they are so concerened with getting you in and out, they dont care i think.. I mean I one time went and said I was depreesed, the doctor didnt even ask me why he wrote me a perscription for paxil. I then went to my doctor and said I was always tired, he refered me to a different doctor and wrote possible adhd.....
