The two greatest commandments:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
I walked in darkness for 20+ years. I thought I was happy. All it left me was empty. Since, I've rededicated my life...I've never been happier and more fulfilled.

The commandments of God will not make us unhappy, but will fill us with ultimate happiness:
1 John 5:3 " For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."
1 John 5:2 "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments."
2 John 1:6 "And this is love, that we walk after his commandments..."
Revelation 22:14 "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

God wants us to be happy. No one should be happy stealing or cheating on their spouse. So, I think God's commandments are meant to be rules on how to live a happy life by not doing those things.

They are guidelines for keeping peace in the tribes that Moses was trying to lead. Think about it, if you don't do any of the 10 commandments, you basically will not piss anybody off or get in trouble with the law.

God's commandments where meant to show us what we really are sinners. To show us that we couldn't do it by ourselves. To show the need in our lifes for Christ, ultimately bring us happiness through hm and his defeat of sin at calvary.

THe bible teaches that God is Love, and that he is a happy god. THerefore taking that line of reasoning the commandments he gives us should likewise be beneficial to us make our lives better, therefore happier.

These are ver easy laws to keep. i think if you keep them you will be happy. Does lying make you happy? or committing muder? or stealing? disobeying your parents? Have a lovely day.

There are so many and a lot do not apply to our society so I think they are meant to confuse us.
