Pachelbel is definatly allowed in any church since it's classical. Thats what i'm having at my Catholic wedding.
The church should explain to you everything that is allowed and not allowed in a Catholic wedding ceremony. We were told by our priest that the only music permitted is classical or religious pieces, and it has to be a live musician because apparently recordings aren't considered sacred enough for church (which i thought was stupid). However, rules could differ among parishes so check with yours and see what they say.

You need to actually talk to the people dealing with the wedding at your church like the priest. He will be able to tell you what you can and can not use or he will put you in contact with the music director. Each church is different so do contact your church. Oh, and that is what I hope to walk down the aisle to. I still need to call the music director to see if this is possible.

I dont think that will be a problem. I'm sure you can use that music in a catholic wedding. When I got married I had songs that the choir usually sings. I used to be in the choir for like 10 years so they already knew what were my favorite songs.

I think it depends on the church. I have been to Catholic wedding ceremonies where they have had mariachi play during the ceremony. Check with your church wedding planner to find out if there are any restrictions.

Canon in D can be played in a church. My couin is a devout catholic, and she met her hubby on a religous retreat. They got married in Georgetown, and that was the song that was played.

Well, I'm catholic too, and it all depends on the church and the priest. You and your partner should go talk to him and let him know what song you want to be played. Take the CD with you so he can listen to it. Who knows, maybe he will like it too. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

You would need to check with your specific church. Classical music is probably no problem, but there may be restrictions on contemporary.
Great choice for the processional!
