hey i wanna know how many people have had/heard of Guillain-Barré Syndrome??? i had this when i was 4 and my doctor said it was rare...i wanna know if n/e one has ever had it

i had this when i was 4 just to say i dont have it n/e more. geez ppl...i said "had" just wanna know because its so rare nemours.org says its really rare too...

Yes, I have heard of it. It is an autoimmune disease. I have a few autoimmune diseases, and know that they do not go away. They may go into a remission, but they do not disappear. If they are not active, a "trigger" such as illness, hormonal changes, stress, and other factors can cause the antibodies to begin attacking again. As you know, these antibodies are attacking your cells, mistaking your own body ' s cells as invaders. Good luck and I do hope that yours stay in remission!
