Explicit content. Only 18 and up can buy. Must have warning label and be sealed in plastic.
The pendelum of censorship swings back and hits the conservative Christians right in the face. Oh irony!

Heather, sweety, listen and listen good.
There is a difference between "your" and "you're".
I am not promoting any ideas, just making observations about what is going on. Personally I am against censorship, so I do not think the bible should be 18+ or whatever.
Perhaps "you're" the moron here.

That story about Lot getting drunk with his daughters and then having sex with them (Sodom & Gomorrah) comes to mind. Hmmmm. Yeah, I can see an "18+" rating there.
EDIT: It is interesting that I am getting thumbs down -- for a biblical story and giving the accurate reference. I guess people don't like seeing the truth revealed about the immorality contained within the book.

That's insane. You are basically taking away someones Bill of Rights.
So we'll leave trash like People, In Touch, Maxim, and other trashy publications on the stands. Books that promote materialism, alcohol, sexual promiscuity, and other lewd things; but take away a book that basically teaches the Golden Rule. Good call. Sounds like a prime example of ignorance to me. I'm not even religious but that is absurd. If you did that you'd have take do it to every religious text from every religion.
This is whats wrong with the world. Take away religion, keep sex, drugs, and alcohol for a ten year old to pick up at a news stand.

No, If you censor the bible... then you take the freedom of religious people away, some of them aren't so judgemental and extreme.
The Christians I hate, are the ones that take all the rules of the bible seriously... for example Fred Phelps and his Anti-Gay crew in Westboro Baptist Church... They're too extreme Christians.
So Okay, It's okay for people not to believe in the bible, but that doesn't give someone the right to just ban it for the sake of their EGO.
No more censorship, I'm tired of everything being censored nowadays.

No matter how much I don't like or believe in the bible as any kind of sacred text, I don't believe in censorship of any kind.
However, I see your point about the pendulum swinging.
Wouldn't be it be a real kick though to see it come under censorship rules for its violent and pornographic content.

The Bible has been censored all over the world as well as the United States. That was done by the Catholic Church, The Council of Nicea, etc..in order for them to impose what they felt our beliefs should be, and let me remind you, as a fear factor. Now, who knows what is really true in the Bible and what is not? All we basically have is what they have discovered in the things they have found hidden and till the date they were found, untouched and unchanged by human hands and thoughts.

Your a moron....look up the definition...
That is IN CHINA.. China is one of the most sensored countries by their government.. they would BAN EVERY book if they could aside from the propaganda driven crap that comes out of it's government..
Your talking about a country that has mobile execution chambers (yeah its true), a country that walks with gangs to kill domesticated dogs because of health scares, banning of internet, cable, TV, magazines, literature, medical care, travel, BASIC HUMAN rights even..
So am I worried that that thought process would make it to the US?
Nope..
Do I think the bible should be censored in the US? NO .. but it already is.. banned from schools, from teachers offering prayer....from government buildings.. etc...but I don't think it will ever get to the point like it is in China!

Maybe you can be more exact. What explicit content? If some of the commercials we see on TV are not censored, I do not know of anything in the Bible that surpasses them in explicit content. Irony, how silly.

I predict a day is coming when that is true.
That is why I am committing to memory as much of it as I can, so when my Bible wears out, and I can't find one to buy, I will still have one.
(Just so that you know, this has happened before.)

Absolutely, eighteen and over only.
Look at how often some idiot Church Lady gets bees in her bonnet over some book used in high school that pales in comparison to the Bible for vulgarity, sexual content, violence and perversity.
Ban it until they're eighteen.
