Ah, yes the dark circles--thank your parents & grandparents for that great trait.

Benefits makeup has two of the most amazing products called Boi-ing & Lyin' Eyes. You can find the Benefits makeup at Macy's or Sephora.

I too have the dark circles (thanks for that Mom) but I use the Boi-ing & Lyin' Eyes and unless you see me without makeup you would never know I resemble a racoon.

While dark circles under the eyes may be a bothersome cosmetic problem, they're very common and generally aren't considered too much of a health hazard. Of course, your doctor should have the final word about any medical condition that might be causing you concern.....having said that you might try a couple of things.

Look for a well formulated eye cream that contains moisturizers, anti-irritants, anti-oxidants and more specifically a skin lightener. Avoid products that contain hydroquinone (skin lightener) - this has been banned in many countries as a potential carcinogen, but is still found in some products. Kojic acid is a pure, safe, beneficial skin lightener to look for.

One suggestion would be Arbonne's NutriMinRe9 Corrective eye cream

I have this problem too, it can be caused by allergies, or just genetics, thinner skin around the eyes allows the blood to show through. Try products with retinol, I like the Neutrogena Eye Brightening Serum, its relatively inexpensive and you can find it at most drug and grocery stores. Also, a generally healthy diet, taking a multivitamin, and drinking lots of water and green tea have all helped me.Oh, and the best concealer, in my opinion is Clinique's Airbrush Concealer, it comes in a tube that you twist to bring the concealer to the attached brush, the brush allows for a light application and just a little covers a lot. Also its almost imperceptible if you just want to wear concealar alone.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

Drink a lot of water.
Make sure you have a good iron level so if you don't eat a lot of red meat, green veggies take a multivitamin and iron supplement.
I have circles too (I am low on iron around that time)
and have been using the re9 eye cream by Arbonne.
It has helped a lot.

Honestly, sleep, diet, tea bags, etc. won't help dark circles go away. Sometimes it's your skin coloring or heredity that causes dark circles. I recommend using any regular facial moisturizer to prep the area, then find a good concealer/foundation to apply.

ok yes, heredity plays a role in this. but a major factor that is over looked is rubbing your eyes. many people don't realize how much they rib there eyes or pull on them when putting eyeliner on. i tried to start catch myself everytime i rubbed my eyes and my dark circles have cleared up almost completely and it only take about a week to notice the difference!
