There is only an easy way to make any sort of health behavior change if you are completely self-motivated to make such an integrated change. You can't want to do it for any other reason other than that it makes you feel good about yourself, mentally and physically.

The first step is cutting out fried foods, followed by refined sugar. When you begin to cut these addictions out of your diet, you'll find that you not only don't desire them as much but that you'll eat less when you do allow yourself to cheat.

Start by eating very healthy monday-friday - whole grains, fruits, grilled lean protein. Allow yourself a few cheats on the weekend - total deprivation is a recipe for disaster.

Before you know it, you'll enjoy eating healthy and won't crave the cheetos.

I would say replace junk food with fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds and low fat yogurt. Those things taste as good as junk food but are better for you.

Here, I'll give you a grocery list so you can easily replace junk food with good food.

Go to the store and buy some :
(1) 6 oz containers of fat free yogurt
(2) Baby carrots
(3) Raw Broccoli
(4) Raw Cauliflower
(5) Apples
(6) Bananas
(7) Cucumbers
(8) Cantaloupe
(9)Unsalted Mixed Nuts
(10) Shelled Sunflower Seeds

Anytime you get a craving for sweets or junk food, just help yourself to a few handfuls of nuts or seeds, a piece of fruit/veggie and a fat free yogurt cup.

Eating an ounce of nuts, a banana and a yogurt cup is better than eating a Snicker's bar or Reese's Cup. And it's more filling.

I am not an alcoholic...I am a chip and dip-oholic. I have been fighting this "addicition" most of my teen and adult life. I finally did what I did when I quit smoking...I was pissed off enough at myself for binging on chips that I went through the house and threw away all of the junk food that I don't want to eat anymore...it was like a cleansing...I guess I just got tired enough of eating sh1t all the time. Like when I quit smoking I just said...F@#K it...I don't want to smoke anymore and I threw out any smokes or tobacco I had and I haven't smoked now for eight years. I only did the chip/junk food thing 2 weeks ago but I haven't really craved them since I had my hissy fit. I think you just have to make uyp your mind...set a goal and get rid of all temptation so that if you do feel a craving...you can't give in cause there is nothing in the house to give in to. I now make sure that I get lots of fruit and veggies and eat smaller portion sizes and no seconds for me. Do a lot of internet surfing to find out about good food choices and great light recipes and you will do fine. You just have to set your mind to it.

You need to find the right recipes. There are so many ways to cook yummy meals without pileing on the carbs and calories. Try Rachel Ray she has a few tv shows, 30 minute meals with Rachel Ray on the foodnetwork at I think 4:00 pm, the Rachel Ray show, and another where she travels around and tries different foods. She has an amazing website, and tonnes of cook books. So I suggest giving her a try!

The best way to stop is just that, stop. I look at a plate of "bad" food and realize that I am in control, not the food. I will not die if I dont eat it, its just food. I eat now to sustain myself thru the day, not for fun! Another good tip...if you think you must have something bad for you, sit in nothing but your undies in front of the mirror and watch yourself eat it. There is no better motivation than watching your chunky self shoving a hamburger into your mouth!

Easy way is to go cold turkey.
July 11, of this year will be 26 consecutive years that I have not had a drink of hard liquor. First few days and weeks a challenge. I am proud of this milestone.

You can do it. Just stop and avoid it.
There is plenty of healthy substitutes.
