ok, for all you lake house fans out there. would you really wait two whole years for love? thats two whole years out of your life without seeing eachother in person, no physical contact, youd both be free to date other people, you wouldnt be allowed to flirt or say i love you in the mean time or do anything romantic, no gifts, no visits, no holidays, nothing but phone calls and emails. what would you say?

i mean in two years you both could fall in love with the other people your dating, and without romance (even though it would be cheating on the other people you were dating) the love may die or you could fall into a rut. what would you do if you were asked to wait two years to be wtih the one you loved?

if i was truly in love, i wouldn't want anyone else... so i would probably wait. i've wasted nearly that long on guys who turned out to be a**holes, & they were in the same room. so a change might be nice...

It would depend on why you were waiting. If a person were in the service, and you were waiting for them to get out, then that would be understandable, but in all reality..it is unreasonable to ask anyone to wait 2 years. Both persons need to be very committed to each other. and there has to be some contact. letters, email, phone calls. and most of the time there is always one person in the relationship that is more committed than the other. It is just the way it is. Now if it is true love that you feel, then the way you can show them is to let them go, meaning don't expect them to wait for you.It would be like placing a long chain on them and giving them no freedom to explore who they are. If the love is true after the 2 years you will meet again and be together. If it is not true it wont matter any way.

Suppose you had know one to wait for?
What i mean is this, while you were growing up you had no one to hope for simply because you were to young to know anything about love.

Everyone hopes. Hope is to trust in what you cannot control, as a child one has no control of what to hope for so the waiting of things is not mixed in with the wants of life.

There is no guaranty in life for what you want, but there is hope for want . Your life could end at anytime, can you control that? No. No one can.

As you wait for the one you love, and you will wait because love is just that, waiting. In life waiting is everything! We wait to get up in the morning, we wait until we arrive while driving, get the point?

Just try to remove any or all the lust in your life as you wait for the one you love. Why? Please don't get offended, but lust is mixed in with our secret desires and passions towards the people we love and don't love.

Lust breeds selfishness. The right love has no greed whatsoever, so therefore your waiting will be some what painful, but it won't be with out hope.

True love rejoices in all circumstances. Love is not about getting something, it's about waiting to give something.

If I love him -- I'd wait. *shrug* Two years is not a long time at all.

In this weird love withholding game, what would you be trying to prove anyway?
