No it's not lame, it's great! You respect yourself more than to just lay down with anyone.
I think it's great your waiting on the right person. =)

No, it is not lame. You have to do what is right for YOU. There are many benefits to being a virgin. You may have a lot of pressure to do it, but you also DON'T have all the pressure that comes with having sex. You have little to no chance of contracting any horrific diseases like AIDS or herpes. You have no chance of becoming pregnant (or getting someone pregnant) by mistake. You don't have to worry about being used or taken advantage of, which is something you will be able to avoid permanently if you wait for the right person, as you say. Don't get me wrong! I think sex is great. The fact of the matter, however, is that it is not so great as to be worth possibly compromising your future or integrity. I admire you for waiting.

Being a virgin at 19 is not lame, and it's great that you are waiting for the right person.
Whether you are a virgin or not is not something that your friends should have a say in. It is none of their business. Friends should not push you to do something that you do not want to do.

i am 17 and a virgin (by choice) f**k what other people say they think the more sex you have the manlier you r and if you wait u r gay or have problems or some dumb bulls**t like that, men who wait are respectful, courtious, compassionate, and when you have sex it isn't called sex that is called making love because you have proved that your not always after sex, ur in the relationship cuz the relatioonship means something to you and u wanted the first time to be special for you and ur gf/bf
better yet wait for marriage cuz then you know s/he is the right one 4 u
hell no it isn't lame...what is lame is having sex with a girl just to have sex and getting an STD and giving that to the girl u should have waited for
and i am glad you asked cuz i was about to ask if i was the only guy who isn't after sex in a relationship

It's not lame at all. I think it's a great decision to wait for the right person. It's certainly better than jumping into bed with the first girl who's willing just go "get it over with." Sex shouldn't be just a goal, it should be an expression of love with someone you love.
I applaud you :)

It is a good thing that you are a virgin. You have nothing to be ashamed of. If you have friends who will not accept you for what you are, you should lose them. Remember misery loves company. It is not lame at all. Opinion poll after opinion poll shows that women regret giving it up under pressure.

Not at all. These days I think that makes you a wise person who obviously cares about your future. Way too many kids are ruined for life by STD's, unwanted pregnancies or even Aids. Choosing to abstain and wait for the person you were meant to love is a beautiful choice. I wish more people were as smart as you are. Kudos!

I don't think so. I bet a lot of guys that are talking like they are getting it are exaggerating anyways. When I was in h.s. that was the case atleast. Don't do it if you don't want to, pretty soon you will be at the point in your life where you care a little less about what you friends think about you and a little more about how you feel inside. Just go with your gut on this one.

You do you! Do not never let a friend pressure you on decisions that will affect you. If you wish to wait for the right person so let it be. The first time should always be special and memorable.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! Please, please wait for the right person, or better yet wait for marriage! Sex does nothing but complicate EVERYTHING. Is getting a disease, (are you a girl?) or having a child, BOTH of which will change your life FOREVER, really seem worth it for a few minutes of fun? Trust me, THEY'RE NOT!
My co-worker just got married to the love of her life. They are both 22 and both were virgins when they got married. I admire them both for being strong enough to wait. However, they are both devote Christians, so it was their faith that kept them strong.
Good luck. Please wait. I think in the end you will be glad you did.
