What if it is serious? I just dont understand why people come on here and ask all of us "am I pregnant"... or " I have this pain in my leg".... what do you people think? Should these people really be trusting their health to our "opinions"??

Oh Nurse.....wow..that is a pretty heavy statement. 99% is high and suggests to these people to just leave it. I work in the health field too. If in doubt, go and get it checked out.

I believe that people should be in tune with their bodies well enough to recognize when something is different, but you are correct to question the safety of self, or internet stranger, diagnosis. It is human nature to ask family, friends, neighbors, and now our web world, for their opinions. But it should never take the place of a medical examination and diagnosis from a trained professional whose credentials you can see hanging on the wall in the office.....

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't save people from their own stupidity. OF COURSE, a doctor should check them out.
