Astral projection, as commonly understood, was started by a Christian guru, so obviously it's not antiChristian.

Most writings about it have been from Christians.

Terry-Amen! I once told a potential student that it was in "the first percentile of things I felt important" she stopped being a potential student when she said "it's that important!?!? I do it all the time, that's great!"

I know about Astral Travel / Projection...When it happened to me for the first time I was young, perhaps 8-10..
As far a the Christian bit is concerned, I wouldn't let that worry you... It happens to people all the time, most people don't remember the experience..Have you ever had a really weird dream that feels as it is real..So real in fact, that when you wake up you are breathing heavily and the dream is still in your mind, so clear..That's usually an OBE....
Another way that you can perhaps think about the fact you may have Astral Travelling, is when you wake up suddenly, bolt upright in bed, and the heart is racing...
If any of these things have happened to you or anything similar, you may have....
Remember everyone is capable of it, to most it remains a dream soon forgotten...
Love and Light.. BB.. )O(

Astral projection has no true reason for being studied, practiced and then finally used, except as a thrill and an ego trip. There are so many things to learn in the study of Magick, and, Astral projection is somewhere in the lower tenth.

I astral-project intentionally almost every two days, the first three times i tried to do it were hard for me, but I got used to it. I think Christians aren't allowed to do so because their soul is the property of their "God" lol.

Yes accidentally once I have an out of the body experience. You'll have to ask a Christian about whether it is acceptable or not.
