Ok. There are many reasons to bring them out of Iraq, but a couple of reasons to remain would be:
1- Although he wasnt the biggest fan of the US and its allies (UK in particular), and was a tyranical dictator, Saddam held the countries religious and ethnic groups together and generally kept the region stable. If allied troops pull out now, after removing this gelling agent, the groups will implode and no-doubt a civil war would rage for years with millions of deaths. BY INVADING THE US AND FRIENDS CAUSED THE VIOLENCE, THEY SHOULD AT LEAST TRY AND TIDY UP THIER MESS.

2- The instability of Iraq will be like a red rag to a bull and will draw in and create terrorists where there were no terrorists before. All who hate the US and allies, Iran would no doubt get involved and within no-time the US and chums are in more danger of terrorist attacks at home.

All in all, invading Iraq has been one huge millitary blunder. I support the troops completely, just not those who send them to die in a pointless way.

Regional Stability - The US presence in Iraq is now critical to the stability of several friendly regimes in the Middle East. Chaos in Iraq after US troops leave could easily lead to trouble for Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Those countries have strong dissident groups within them that could become more aggressive in acting against their own governments if United States allows Iraq to devolve into a civil war.

Obligation to protect the average Iraqi - We caused the massive lack of security with the invasion. Fewer Iraqis have power and clean water than before the occupation. If we leave, we leave those Iraqis that are just trying to live their lives with a mess they can't solve.

I'm not sure these outweigh other concerns that would cause us to withdraw, but they are two compelling reasons to stay at least until we can be sure Iraq can handle itself.

There is only one reason!

Say you were at your friends house and he told you to help him reach his dad's gun. So you boosted him up so that he could reach it. When he grabs it and falls out of your grasp and accidentally shoots himself would you just run out and leave him there to die because it was a bad idea in the first place or would you get the bleeding under control and call 911.

In other words, you may not agree with why we are there but the fact is that we are there and leaving now would throw the country into complete anarchy leaving it open to the likes of Iran.

1. We lose face with the rest of the world if we take a measly three thousand dead and pull out.you are talking about an enemy that willingly trades lives just for the chance to kill us. We are now dealing with the repercussions of our surrender of Vietnam and Lebanon.

2. If we pull out, we disgrace the lives of three thousand troops. And that will cause repercussions in our military. When we pulled out of Vietnam, we no longer drew the number of recruits, and the ones we did get were lower quality. It wasn't until the 90s that they stopped taking GEDs unconditionally.

there is no reason to keep our troops there, there is a civil war going on in iraq, over religon, we need to get out now...
when our own generals there says they need more troops, but cannot get them..our leaders have failed in this not our troops.. our troops have done a super job.. god bless them all

I can only come up with one, and it's still pretty lame. Help the Iraqi government build up their military so they can defend themselves. It is nearly impossible to quickly do this when you do not know who is working undercover. There are those claiming to be Iraqi militia, then smuggle weapons to the insurgents.
Whadayado?

To secure their borders since we disbanded their army which used to do that.

there is no other reason.

Its too soon to leave. Although the Iraqi's do want us to get out, they don't want us to get out YET... they want things to be more stable before we leave, or for their own security forces to be absolutely certain that they can handle the situation before we pull out of there.
