either call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 or go to www.irs.gov and find "where's my refund". You will need the taxpayer's social security number, the filing status, and the exact amount of the refund you were expecting. I have included the irs link to where's my refund.

www.irs.com. There is a link that says Where's my refund?
It is two step process where you will have to click a second link to get to the actual request page.
Once there, You will need to know your social security number, your filing status and the amount of the refund you are expecting.
