find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First of all you are not fat. If you are 5'8" or so and 145 you are maybe 5-10 pounds overweight according to "health standards". Not fat. Stop pretending you are a super model. You are great they way you are. Be happy with what you got.

A good way to loose the extra pounds is. Eat a small breakfast with fruit and cereal or just fruit. Have a small lunch and a medium sized dinner. remember you need meat to keep iron and other much needed vitamins and and jazz that you as a girl need. You loose a lot of it during you period. So eat chicken, turkey or lean beef and have fresh veggies with the meal not salads with dressing. Also walk a lot or run and do some exercise about 2-3 times a week. You will be fine.

Keep away from: fast food, sugar, empty carbs: snak food or junk food like chips, candy bars, pop corn and so on

Buy a heart rate monitor. Run at 80%+ of your heart rate max for 45 minutes minutes. Do this 5 days a week. Your heart rate max is most simply estimated as: 220-Your Age.

I would not neglect lifting weights. The more muscle you have on you, the more fat you will burn throughout the day. Muscle needs calories to exist, fat does not.

We get weight by eating extra calories and incorrect amount of macronutrients. There are two ways by which we can lose weight.

· Eating less

· Exercising more

You know
1 gram of protein = 4 calories
1 gram of carbohydrates = 4 calories
1 gram of fat = 9 calories
1 pound of fat = 454 gram
So 1 pound of fat = 9*454 = 4086 calories

Note: Our body fat contains around 3500 calories, as 10% of it is water.
So in order to lose a pound of fat (4086) in 2 weeks, we need to decrease calories consumption by 290 per day as 4096/14=290(approx)

15 minute of good exercise will help you in losing around 100 calories. So in order to lose 1 pound of fat in two weeks, we need to exercise for around 45 minutes (290 calories) if we do not want to make any changing in our eating habit. So just take care of the amount of calories in the food you take. The best idea for losing weight will be by cutting down the junk food with exercising. So greatest way to lose weight is a mixture of diet and exercise as exercise builds muscles, and bigger muscles burn more fat.

ok you are still young and carrying a bit weight is not a bad thing you still have a bit of growing to do you realy don't have to do cardio exercise just yet ,but a bit of jogging would'nt harm ,start off with short jogs and try to double it in a week or so ,it won't be long before you burn the excess off.but remember diet is really important as well.good luck.

ok heres something easy. do some running or jogging 5 days a week. increase it a little more every day becasue you will become stronger every day. i would start by just doing it until you are tired and then increasing it like i said. do some crunches, like 50-100, again with the tired and incraesing. cut your calories, just eat healthy. drink only water. it works very well.
