"bisexuals like both sexes"
"bisexuals just have no inhibitions for either sex"
"bisexuals have no standards and will sleep with anything"
which one do you think fits bisexuals the best according to your personal opinions, and explain why, if you think it's none of the above, then state what you think does fit, and say which of the above you think is closest to it.
open to everyone, LGBT or straight alike, no offense intended so please avoid flammatory statements, thank you :)

just a sidenote, i am bisexual myself, the first phrase was randomly made up, the other two phrases were quoted from elsewhere on the forums.
interested particularly in the reasoning.

from my point of view, the first and second statements are only marginally different.
the first indicates an attraction to both sexes, the second indicates no dislike for either sex, so the top two are based on your point of reference, the second one could be borderline pansexual ( i think thats the word?)
and of course.. the third one is nonsense.. but i put it htere in case anyone would explain the logic behind it xD

The first option. We can be attracted to men or to women, but it's not necessarily 50/50. Some lean in one direction or the other. Some limit their dating choices to the opposite sex, and you wouldn't know they were bi until they told you. Being bi does not mean promiscuous, "confused", or "greedy". Like being gay, the orientation is not a choice.

I pick "bisexuals are attracted to people of both sexes/more than one gender"
I used to identify as bisexual, but now feel that pansexul fits me better, because I am attracted to more than the two mainstream genders. It has nothing to do with wanting to sleep with more people; I've had a lot less sex than many of my straigh, gay or lesbian friends (and I work for an adult company, so it's not an aversion to sex!). I'm just attracted to who I am attracted to, regardless of what is between their legs, or what their gender identity is.

I think the first one fits best, "bisexuals live both sexes". I also love the way Siksika Child of Earth put it: "bisexuals love equally".

I'd pick the first. They like both sexes. I think that is what describes a person who truly is bisexual.
The second and third reek of stereotypes. Sadly, I have heard some gay people use the third one sometimes to describe bisexuals. I'd attribute that to a lack of understanding on their part.

i'd have to come up with my own statement....
"bisexuality is the attraction to people based on their personality, not by their sex"
though this really makes no sense at all since bisexuality means attraction to both sexes, but it makes sense to me. i think that everyone is bisexual, in the sense that they like everyone's personality, but the fact that they dont act on it will make them straight...i gotta go take a test now...bye!

i would say "bisexuals like both sexes (genders)"
i don't think a person who was not attracted to either men/women could have sex with that gender. no inhibitions? i have low inhibitions, but i'm still not having sex with a woman. standards and gender are two completely different things. there are gay men i wouldn't have sex with. i have standards.

I would most closely recognise the middle statement as being representative of what a bisexual is supposed to be.

"bisexuals like both sexes"
Because that's what it means, either by physically or emotionally or psychologically, it's all about the persons attraction to the other.

The first one, bisexuals like both sexes.
That's the definition, I refuse to read more into it, that's stereotyping.
