They influence the way I respond daily. It happens so often its hard to think of individual issues.

I have been in situations where women were making out together and groping each other to have a show for the boys. The guys were egging them on. I thought it was disgusting and completely against my morals, so I stood up and walked out.

I have broken off friendships with people that I liked and had a lot in common with. I had a friend who I caught in a lie. It was a rather large lie but didn't have much meaning. Just a lie for no reason. I was mad at her and didn't talk to her for a while. Well I forgave her (even though she never asked for forgiveness) and she went right back to lying to me. The next time I caught her I completely cut her out of my life. I don't tolerate liars.

I am a journalist and I have vowed I would go to jail to protect a source. I've never had that challenged by I like to believe I'd stand by my word.

On New Years Eve, I had a neighbor's house catch fire. I called 911 while a friend rushed over to wake up that family and make sure they got out of the house. Some friends thought this was hilarious that the house was burning down and started taking pictures. The family was inside our house and watching their house burn and people I considered my friends were hilariously laughing and taking pictures. I took the camera from him and yelled at them to have a tad bit of respect for the fact that these peoples lives have been ruined tonight and there is a lil 3 year old in the house crying b/c she is imagining everything she's ever owned going up in flames.

I think a person's moral values influence there decisions every day. (and just so you know--I'm an atheist)

I was a comptroller in a real estate firm. The partners were brother and sister. I was making a terrific salary, and was supporting my children.(I am divorced)

Well to make a long story short, the brother came over to me after working their for three years, and told me to do something unethical whereby he would gain monetarily, and his sister would lose. I did it for a couple of weeks, but it was bothering me very much. So I told him that I will not do it anymore.

The end result is that I got fired. I was already 60 years old, and could not find employment with such a good salary. It effected my heart. I was fired in January, and had a heart attack in June. I had a six hour operation, and have never been the same again. I had no savings either.

Would I do it again? I don't know. Most probably I would.
