who do some guys just ignore the girl ,if the girl rejects his proposal and asks him to be as a best friend that too after 3yrs of friendship. is it not self-centeredness?. If a girl says best friend,it means that she still wants to be with him..why do they leave once they listen this?.Can't a guy and a girl be bestfriends forever and why do they hurt like this?

Friendships between a man and a woman is possible. Now if there is an attraction between friends, then you shouldn't be friends! I mean I know some men and women who have friends with the opposite sex and they remain strong as friends. Its simple, a woman doesn't want to cling to a man as a lover when their friends. She just want to have a male companion that can give her advice on relationships and that can be like an older brother, a protector to her. That's it!

1) he will always (or for a long time) still want her, complicating the friendship.
2) he feels emasculated. she doesnt seem his as a man, just a pal, like a girlfriend or something. very unpleasant. he may not want to be aroud her after that.
dont tell guys "we can still be friends." it sucks.

Because sweety, guy's are usually after a sexual side aswell as a friendship...It's real hard to find the balance....we really do think with our peckers a lot.
