The opposite of ego is love. Reality is letting go, not clinging. referred to the ego as “the place of fears.” The opposite of fear is love. Perfect love casts out all fear. You must find your own way of letting go of your partiality, your a-part-ness, and letting love fill your whole being, and make you one with everyone and everything.
The most common ego identifications have to do with possessions, the work you do, social status and recognition, knowledge and education, physical appearance, special abilities, relationships, personal and family history, belief system, and often also political, nationalistic, racial, religious and other collective identifications.

As far as i am aware ego is how someone rates themself, what they think about themselves eg. John has a huge ego. The word ego is a noun. nouns dont have opposites. for example what would you say if i asked you what the opposite to table is. I hope that answers your question...

In psychiatry terms, superego: that which overrides the ego, the "parent" if you will or conscience which stops the id (the "I want") factor) taking over the ego (the self).
In philosophical terms, the opposite would be selflessness(giving of yourself to others, and putting them first), or self-effacement (stepping back and letting others have their way).

ego= I and my (I am a man, I am rich I am black & my house
my wife, my money)
Because these are ultimatly false so=false ego
real ego = I and My + God ( I am Gods & God is mine)
Because these are ultimatly true hence =real ego or the opposite of ego

A term known as "Id". Both are psychological terms. At the far left side is "ego", far right is "id", andin the middle is one called "superego".
