No. Moses did not exist. A story created by Jeremiah and Baruch on behalf of the Persians. It is based on the true history of Pharaoh Akhenaten 1350 BCE.
In fact the Ark of the Covenant is the Ark of Akhenaten. You can see a perfect historic replica of what the Ark was in any photos of the Ark of Tutankamen in Egypt's Museum. To the Egyptian Kings of the 18th Dynasty, the Ark represented their standard, a physical vessel of their spirit.
The staff of Moses and the serpents was the Serpent Sceptre of Akhenaten, which survived for at least 700 years until it was destroyed by the Israelites as an icon of worship.
Even the most holy relic of the Dead Sea Scrolls- the Copper Scroll has inscribed in ancient Greek , dated from at least 100 BCE that "Akhenaten is also Zadok".
See:
http://one-faith-of-god.org/old_testament/sources/copper_scroll/copper_scroll_0010.htm
It would mean any person rightfully who claimed ancestry through the line of Zadok would also be heir to the true bloodlines of the Pharaohs and rightfully could claim themselves "Son of God"- the official title of the Pharaoh.
Interestingly Jesus was an heir to the Essene High Priesthood, the line of Zadok, the line of Pharaohs through his mother.

No coincidence. The Jews were in Egypt for over 400 years, and they adopted the 10 Commandments from the Egyptians. Of course, they had to come up with a dramatic event to make it seem as if Moses was given the 10 Commandments from God, when they actually got them from the Egyptians.

No coincidence. The Palestinians that call themselves 'Israelites' were wholesale plagiarists. This is only one of many stolen from the surrounding areas that American bible lovers think is original to the Jews.
p.s. Moses and the Israelites were never captive in Egypt, that whole 'let my people go' story, it's fabricated. Moses would have been killed for speaking so boldly to ANY of the Pharaohs. Never mind that the bible doesn't know which Pharaoh was in power at the time.

The Commandments also resemble the code of Hamurabi, whihc was codified a bit earlier.
My computer resembles your computer, but I bet the contents of my hard drive differs considerably from yours, in many important ways.
The most logical assumption here is that God provided what the people of that time were able to understand and accept, albeit with some difficulty, in order to advance the process of man's ultimate salvation.
History is full of prophetic texts and cryptic messages, but only a very select subset of them have proven to be true.
The truth here is that Jesus Christ, the one who gave the Commandments to Moses, said he would come, die, and rise up again, by his own power. He did. Other people witnessed it, and the world has never been the same.
All the Egyptians are still dead.
