Hey Erick,

The family search by LDS has about 68 entries on this name.
The following is one of the oldest entries, and that is not really that old - perhaps it is Basque, but there are no entries for it on this site.

42. MARIA INZUNZA - International Genealogical Index / SA
Gender: Female Birth: About 1847 Tome, Viii-Region, Chile

The Ellis Island site shows 5 entries for Jose Inzunza coming to the USA from Chile also.

Some of the name look up data bases do not have Inzunza, that I checked. Usually they do not have french or spanish names.

Type "surnames Basque" on your Y!, Google, or whatever search engine you prefer. There seems to be a fair number of hits.

I'm not a genealogist, but I meet many people researching families since my library has a genealogy section. Two of their favourite websites are www.familysearch.org and www.Ancestry.com

www.familysearch.org is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka the Mormons) They have "Family History Centers" in the U.S. and Canada. When you find the nearest city on their website, phone them and ask if they have surname origin books in their library.

Is there a Basque Community Centre or other Basques where you live? They may have information about your family name.

If your surname is not Basque, it may be Spanish or Portuguese. It may be helpful to check "Surnames Spain" or "Surnames, Spanish" in your search engine. or Names, Personal -- Spain in your public library's catalog (or in the catalog of the central library of your nearest large city.)

If your public library has the book below - I doubt you'll get it on interloan because it's three huge volumes of a reference book. You may have to phone the central library of your nearest big city, or look up their catalog on the internet. I think it's a good source for the origins of many family names and how common they are in the U.S. If it was anglicized by an immigration officer, the book may have possible names it could have been in 'the old country'. If you can't get the book, try the subject heading "Names, Personal -- United States" or whatever country you believe your surname to have come from in the catalog of your own library.

I've never bothered with any of those so don't know. Generally one learns more doing regular genealogy research, back generation by generation, getting to know a bit about each person.
