Why cant the person you really want, want you? Ok I guess sometimes it happens, but I am still waiting for it to happen for me, what if it never does? As it doesnt with everyone.

He basically said oneday we can think about getting back together ie taking things slowly as we hadnt seen eachother in about 6 months, ( I didnt ask for him to do this, it was his idea). Then I wasnt sure because of the past so the next day, his saying he doesnt want this? Why, it dont make sense?
It really hurts because I was ready to move on, an just because he gave me hope again I didnt and now I am back to where I was.
Why would someone just change there mind like that? His a grown man too, an usually knows his mind.
How can you change your mind in 24 hour's, he knew this would hurt me too.

His also gone really cold on me, an basically saying he doesnt wish to see/speak to me again, yet 24 hours ago he was really nice an all over me in a texting kind of way.

An no there isnt someone else

I think you should walk away. This man clearly does not know his own mind and is feeling the loneliness we all feel when a relationship ends. He is using you to assuage his own feelings of loss whilst not looking to your best interests. Looking to your best interests is something you will need to do for yourself here. Make a space so that someone else, a good, kind loving person can come into that space.
Bless and good luck

It probably isn't a question of his changing his mind as such.
As humans we are prone to hold on to things- be they ideas, books, people or business propositions long after we "know" that they are not working or going to work out.
I am sure that there is a fundamental reason why this developmental trait has not being jettisoned, but when it comes into play in your life it is murder for your emotions!
Take the high road and walk away from this. At heart you both know that it is done, but there is security in what is already known.
Life is short. Don't look back there are wonderful adventures ahead of you and moving on will give you a chance to look them in the face.

hes an idiot! hes using you, he was feeling lonely and wanted something familiar that hes had before, he was most probably bored of being single and then met some one else later, so he didnt want you no more, its hard to take but he most probably perceives you as his back up! move on, it hard, but honestly you need to! there are better men out there for, men who wont use you and will feel the same as you!

however, if its really bugging you, sit down and talk to him about what hes doing, ask him why! if this dont work, he dont give you the answers then that means you're his back up and hes with someone else, but dont want to tell you! this is just maybe, a big maybe, but during yr relationship with him was he caring and loving? maybe hes realised what a big mistake hes made and wanted to see if you still cared about him! bring this up in the conversation you have with him when you meet up with him! if its the back up thing, let him know that you aint gonna wait around and let yourself get used, so he needs to make a decision now!

Whatever you do, make sure you take care and i hope it all goes well for you!

I dunno. That's a tough cookie. Yeah it's definitely twisted, alright! I tend to change my mind a lot; I'm also quite indecisive. But that was just plain cruel! I know what you mean - I wish the person could really really want you. A couple of weeks ago, a guy I used to really like started flirting with me and I was already over him and I flirted back and we kept on flirting and I wasn't sure what to think. Next thing I know he's telling me he doesn't know how I'll take it but he's been seeing someone for about a month. So why was he flirting with me or does that mean nothing to him? All I could say was that I was happy for him (not) and that why didn't he just tell me?
Now I'm waiting for someone who will want me for me but sometimes, like you, I get doubts that it may never happen. We all just got to move on and forget about the idiots! They aren't worth the time of day anymore.

You need to just let it go and move on. If he starts contacting you again, tell him "thanks, but no thanks". It sounds like he enjoys playing games and in the long run you will get hurt.
Step back and take a real good look at him and who he is, make a list of his bad points and think about why you broke up in the first place. If he knew what he was doing would hurt you, then he strikes me as someone who enjoys causing drama and pain. Its hard, but let him go and find you a real MAN who will care about your feelings and not play games with them.

If you want to be happy in life ... you can't allow your happiness to be dependent on other people ... you have to make yourself happy ... he didn't change his mind in 24 hours ... he wanted to hurt you ... don't allow it ... get on with your life ... and make yourself happy ...
