Fistula(Ano) Fistula means pipe and Fistula-in-ano means a pipe like canal opening usually at or near the anus. Fistula can be blind, internal or open. When first stage is over and there is intense pain; abscess turns into pus Hepar Sulph 30, 4 hourly
When ulcerative stage comes and the passage converts into sinus; fetid,watery discharge Silicea 12X or 30, 4 hourly
In tubercular patients (intercurrent remedy) who are susceptible to cold Bacillinum 200 or 1M, fortnightly (3 Doses)
When there is intense hammering pain in the rectum Lachesis 30 or 200, 4 hourly (3 Doses)
Soreness and intense burning pain; greenish discharge Acid Nit 200 or 1M, once weekly (3 Doses)
In blind fistula; yellowish, greenish painless discharge Sulphur 200 or 1M, once weekly (3 Doses)
With tearing pain around the anus; to improve the drainage of the passage Berberis Vulgaris.Q 4 hourly, 5 - 10 drops
Burning and soreness in the rectum; chronic large piles; better in humid climate Causticum 30 or 200, 4 hourly (3 Doses)
For External Use: Lotion of Hydrastis or Calendula.

Yes there is a possibility that it can recur. The operation will leave a scar and this is a weak area in the skin and muscle. If it comes back again it is most likely to affect that weaker area.
