Poor puppy, he could have saved his energy by not creating trillions of stars in other billion galaxies that are absolutely meaningless in context of earth.

And hey christians, where did that firmament go? Hope ya'll didn't think that sky was solid firmament and heaven rested above layer of clouds.

ROFLMAO!!! Jesus ****** christ!

He didn't NEED to rest. He just needed to create a day that could be used as an excuse to stone people for.
That and the SuperBowl was on. The God-version.

How can u say, the trillions of stars are of no use. Do u know how many insects, animals exist???And what is the use of their creation?????Science has not found many things, so r u smart enough to critisize the creations of God?????In His Glorious Book, God has said:

5. And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. (Chapter 67)

The explanation of this verse is that Satan and Jin tried to listen to what Allah is commanding His Angels and then to mislead the people on Earth. When they reach near it, they were hit by these stars. You will not believe it, but do u know about meteors????Science has found the following:

A meteor, sometimes called a "shooting star," can be the brightest object in the night sky, yet meteoroids are the smallest bodies in the solar system that can be observed by eye.

How can a particle the size of a grain of sand produce such a spectacular sight? The answer is the speed at which the meteoroid enters the earth's atmosphere. Many meteoroids travel at 60-70 kilometers per second. As a comparison, the shuttle moves around the earth at about 8 kilometers per second.

Each day as many as 4 billion meteors, most miniscule in size, fall to earth. Their masses total several tons, seemingly a large amount, but negligible compared to the earth's total mass of 6,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons.

The other two reasons for the creation of Stars is to guide the people travelling through the sea and to decorate the sky. Infact, the sky really looks beautiful with stars.

If u really want to question about such verses, then plz visit this site:

Then tell the people on Yahoo answers, so that many people can benefit from it and find the truth by themselves.

May God guide u to the Right Path.

Poor Puppy (not God ....YOU!) Poor Guy, what Bible are YOU reading that said God NEEDED to rest. He merely was setting a pattern for his creation to follow, one that I might add is still ingrained in humanity millenia later.

And your inability to understand the meaning of the firmament shows another incredible display of ignorance the firmament is all around you, it is called the atmosphere. It is the remnant of the firmament that DID separate the dense covering of water in the form of Ice crystals that once surrounded the earth, giving it the effect of being in an egg shell, also giving it a rather uniform temperature from pole to pole. When it was broken up, the gravitational pull of the earth drew that mass of ice crystal water to the two poles, giving us not only the polar ice cap, but explaining why even today various animals are found flash frozen with green food still in their mouths in the arctic region.

Before you go off into gales of laughter over a subject you might want to at least look into it so that your ignorance is not as blatantly obvious as it is in this case.

1. The text does not say there was a need. The text simply states that He rested (ceased from work). Later it is repeated quite often that it was a sign (but this is probably too abstract of a concept for you judging from the depth of your questions).

2. The world wide flood, or what pseudo-scientists refer to the Ice Age was when the firmament came crashing down.

Lets get some details steight John 1 tells us nothing was made that was not made via Jesus Christ, and John 8:58 tells us He is THE I AM, okay Jesus gave us rest so we can come together and worship Him on The Seventh Day Sabbath which in Gen.1 He said evening and morning were the first day, evening and morning were the second day, sundown to sundown [24 hours] is how God tells time so we come to worship and come away from the world to worship and spead TIME with GOD, it is for YOU that He rested NOT for Himself by the way Saturday is the seventh day no where does God say to worship on sunday instead of the seventh day and God made the seventh day holy and if He does not make a day [sunday] holy then you can not keep it holy either, want to know why you go to church [and its not in the bible] on sunday email me at wgr88@yahoo.com and ask and i will tell you, free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org God bless

Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man. God rested on the 7th day because his work of creation was finished. But more than anything else, He wanted to set aside this day as a day of worshipping Him. If God still worked on the 7th day it won't make sense. He wouldn't be setting a good example, right?

Peace and blessings!

Whether or not it was six literal days or 6 million of our years (2 Peter 3:8, and elsewhere in the bible). But the seventh day for rest was to teach us a lesson. Teach us that we need rest. You will find this throughout the whole bible that God does not ask us to do anything that he hasn't done before us.

The bible uses anthromorphisms to assign human attributes to God, such as resting, walking, etc. These are literary devices, nothing more. An omnipotent God needs no rest.

Um, not quite. God used six literal days to create the world in order to serve as a model for man's work week. work six days, rest one. rest assured, God could have created everything in an instant if he wanted to. but apparently he had us in mind even before he made us [the sixth day] and wanted to provide an example for us to follow
