What do you think about Steve Stanton being fired
What do you think about Steve Stanton being fired as the city manager of Largo because of a gender identity issue. Steve Stanton now known as Susan Stanton performed an outstanding job while being a manager. Should it matter if such a person is transsexual, I don't see why it should.

It's appalling hope she sues on grounds of gender discrimination... She definitely has a suit...
I don't think it matters if anyone is trans-gender, if they do their job well they should keep the job.. Be it a teacher, a nurse, a doctor, a sanitation worker, a farmer, an accountant, an attorney, or any other job, it's job performance not what is or isn't under ones clothing that counts...

I don't see a problem with it. If he/she was going to be fired, it should have been for something he did wrong with the city, not something he did with his life.

I don't know the details of this case. From what you have given me, there is no reason to fire a person based on sin. If we did that, we'd have to fire everyone, wouldn't we?
