Yes.
We are each responsible for our choices in life and I know God is a perfect judge.

Actually, a child isn't going to "hell" only those who have arrived at the age of knowledge and that age is varied for everyone. The Bible speaks in the New Testament of ....when I was a child I spoke as a child.... but now behold... this dictates a state of awareness of right from wrong and the reality of God in this person's life. Now if my adult child died and went to what you call hell because he didn't believe in what? Both God and "hell" or just not in God? I'm not sure if you realize but this is the only requirement of God. John 3:16 states...For God so loved the world that He gave His only begottened Son.... that whosoever believeth in Him...... should not perish." I was raised to believe and trust and love God and I have raised my kids to believe what I know in my heart of hearts to be true..... that God is. Now if the child after becoming an adult decides that they can't accept that as truth anymore. Then no it is their choice and because I raised them to know what the end results for disbelief would be. I'd miss them but I'd love God no less. If I told you that you were going to have a major exam next Friday, but for some reason or another you didn't see me or think that it was real even though I left study guides and books for you to prepare yourself with as well as everyone that cared about you told you that if I said there would be an exam next Friday and told you to prepare and you decided that you weren't going to believe it..... Friday came and I gave the exam..... you weren't prepared and failed. Do you think that your parents should hate me because you didn't believe that there was an exam.... think about it~

Yes, I would still love God "if" my adult child died and went to hell. My adult children have all been witnessed to and they know the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and they know all about sin and the wages of sin being hell, and yes, they have all been taught the terrors of hell, etc. They even have Bibles to read scripture for themselves and I have turned them onto websites.
If my adult child decides not to be a believer then it is their own fault because they know better. We are all offered the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. God does not send us to hell, we send ourselves to hell by not accepting salvation. This is a choice for all of us. I have chosen and accepted, and am a born again Bible believing Christian. Most of my children are taking it seriously and some are saved. Anyway, at least they do know the truth and they do have a choice.

Love God? I think "reverence" is the right word.
There is no physical hell, but non-believers are punished in some way. The theory is that they are given sufficient information, but refuse to believe or act in ignorance so that they don't have to be restricted from certain things. However, I certainly think that there are those out there that genuinely do not believe in God, and it's usually people with lucrative and fun lives who don't have time to care where they came from, and since they're having so much fun without trouble anyway they don't stop and think of things...

Yes, it is not GOD'S fault if someone does not believe and goes to hell, everyone has a choice, that is why we as Christians, are suppose to tell people about GOD/JESUS, how much he loves us, what he did for us, what it takes to get to heaven, GOD does not, or will not ever force anything on us. We have the knowledge, the choice is ours!

Yes I would because it is not Gods desire for anyone to perish in hell. It is the parents responcibility to raise their kids in church and teach them about God, after that it is the childs choice to believe or not. Remeber we all have free will. God gave us free will because He wants us to choose Him on our own. What would you rather have : A. Make your child tell you that he/she loves you or B. Let your child come to you willingly to tell you that he/she loves you? I bet the answer is B.

Yes! God gave us the privilege to raise His children while on earth. They truly belong to Him as we all do. Also, the Word of God tells us to love Him above everyone and everything, including our children and parents. That does not alter our love for them at all. It just means that we love our Creator just that much more. God/Jesus is love. If we love Him above all, we then know how to love them even more. It is everyone's choice to choose God/Jesus or not. We are to raise our children to love and obey God, but if they choose not to, then the consequences they would know and would live or die by (spiritually). I would never blame God or stop loving Him! If you do not know God/Jesus intimately, you may not understand this kind of love. In Christ

Well Servette I guess once the parent died and did not see there child in heaven they would put two and two together. lol
This really is a stupid question.
P.S Hell is not real. There might be a higher power but not in the way we humans think. I do not believe in god really but I will admit that a higher power or a god if you wish to call it could exist. I will find out when I die or not.

Hi,
the most appropriate answer should be that you wouldn't know. Who's going to tell you where he went?
You don't get an e-mail booking confirmation!..
If you are a believer in God and believe in the concept of Heaven and Hell, then you would continue to believe in the 'rightness' of God's words. It wouldn't have been HIM that sent your child to Hell, would it?
It would have been the failure by your son to adhere to the teachings and lifestyle asked for by your God. He would have sent himself! You might as well blame yourself as you, obviously, would have failed to teach him properly.
Don't worry about the possibility, as I said at the beginning, you would never know...
Cheers,
BobSpain

no I wouldn't hate God because he gave us all the opportunity to shun hell, but I would be very mad at the evil person who taught and forced a lie on my child that there was no God
if you die and went to hell (I hope that never happens)would you be sorry you did not believe?
you must really believe in God deep down to ask such a question.

You have to realize that Hell isnt what hollywood says it is. Hell is eternal separation from God. If my kids (when they become adults) decided to renounce their faith and not beleive, then that was their choice BUT I would have a clear conscience in that I did my best to tell them the right way to get to Heaven. So, yes I would still Love Jesus.
If your adult kid pointed a gun at a cop and the cop shot and killed your kid and your next of kin was a cop someplace else would you still love your next of kin?
