Dear Lib Buster,

First let me say that i'm not particularly a big fan of Jerry Falwell. He is off course most infamous for some of his "radical" stands which do not reflect what most mainline Christians believe (AIDS is God's punishment, etc.) and also for swindling people of their money. This was quite a number of years ago.

I've heard in recent years that he has repented, and the truth of the matter is having violated the trust of so many people- who knows if he was sincere or not in his apology. And more than that- people have a right to always be suspicious and question his credibility.

That being said- i think where he stands with God is between him and God.

i can't say whether he's going to heaven or hell- whether his repentance was genuine.

But i can say that i am never happy about somebody passing away- because there are always people who are left behind who suffer. If Jerry was an unscrupulous man (he still has family, parents, etc.).

No one can buy their way into heaven. Only the blood of Christ is a sufficient sacrifice for man's sins.

i guess i'm saying is we'll leave God's part up to God. And for our part we should be as humane as possible and think about the loved ones of those who passed away.

Kindly,

Nickster

who is that guy and why was he on every cable news station's breaking story???? I watch the news and have not heard anything about him. Who cares if he's a christian, it's not like that's the only religion in this country??? Besides evidently there are so many versions of christianity, which box did he belong to?

That was B.S. I missed william shatner on the view!

I pray that you are joking.
And I'm an atheist, so a prayer from me is a big thing.
