Hey hit me up sometime..i am into spirituality and was weak like you. I am no longer like that. I have no fear of death...If there is no afterlife you should make the best of this life? arent you lucky to be alive? if there is afterlife you cannot die because you are only changing from one state to another. If there is death its because there was birth. If there is no death and we have an afterlife can we have been born? nope. We are eternal and one aspect of God. You see many people in dream yet all are part of you. You see many people in reality but all are part of higher mind which you have to realize. You are in a sense everything/..so do you want to meditate and merge with the universe to find unlimited joy or be limited because of fears and senses which may you think you are the individual body?..Will you fear death if you are coming back to continue the journey? no..you cant be scared of death or ghost or animal...you are everything:there is only one soul with infinite minds, got to connect with that soul. Body, mind , intelligence come from conciousness or the soul. Compare to a chariot: horses are the senses , the reins the mind , intelligence the driver and passenger the soul..If we come under the control of senses mind is perturbed and the sould journey to the supreme destination delayed..use your intelligence to control your mind and senses and you'll be free from sorrow..it is just a journey..people have undergone back surgery with no anasthesia because they have realized they are not the body and feel no pain....
And please dont follow hollow religion: there are 16 people who existed prior to Christ..how can you believe in religion when everything is copy paste and man made? earth is flat, sun goes round..believe in yourself and realize your own divinity..depending on religion shows your weakness and most people who do so cant accept that they are wrong:ego..

It seems like you fear death because if there is no afterlife, there is a big unknown behind what happens after you die. Let's think about this for a moment. Purely from a scientific point of view, for all that we know, our bodies create our sense of awareness, memory, etc.. Death would be the end of all that, there would be no one to experience anything. When you die, you become unaware, memory is lost, everything is gone.- not only that everything is gone but no one is there to experience that nothingness. What's is so scary about this? Is it the fact that your memory and individuality would be lost? There should be no problem with that, just think about how you felt before you were born. In other words, you didn't exist before you were born, it was no problem. Now you do exist, but in time you will return to not existing. It is the natural state of things. Why worry?

We all share this most basic fear in life....death, dying the process, how, when, where...we just don't know the answers. For me, a few things I've done are: writing in a journal, get all of it down on paper, when I find my mind working overtime, I know it's time just to breathe....in and out, nothing else, just breathe, focus your mind on your life, how your body feels, how your heart is pumping life through you 24/7, your lungs ...breathing....in and out, eventually your mind will quiet and your body, heart and mind will relax. When your mind goes back to worry, notice it, and bring it back to your breath....this is life, your life, your gift.
Death, is part of the nature of all things and beings, plants, animals, stars, planets everything is born, ages, and dies, whose to say that there is or isn't an afterlife. Many things can't be explained or seen to believe. There are many paths in spirituality, remember faith, spirit, all dwell within us all, believe in what brings you peace, but please remember spirituality is a journey, and not a destination, many, many lessons will be learned, repeated until at last you see that what you seek outside of yourself, is and always will be a peace that already exists within your own heart.
Be well my friend.

Yes depression comes from thoughts.
I know what you mean by everything being a dead end.
I ask myself one time why the heck am I so negative?
Not only to other people but to myself as well. This is a serious issue that I examined
and i found its actually a mindset that I didnt
want to remove myself from.
The root of the problem lies with the age old flesh fighting the spirit.
We are the worst enemys to ourselves spiritually.
We are constantly looking for a happy medium so we can be at piece with ourselves, in the end we find the flesh demanding more and more suppressing
the spirit thus becoming unhappy spiritually.
To win the war spiritually dont set any goals
the flesh may want, rather surrender your
life to Jesus.
Tell Jesus your in charge of my life, you
lead my footsteps and trust that he will do it.
And expect it...
This will give you a whole new bright
look on life.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)
And what a great light he is..

Hi hun...
Depression means supression. There is pain deep within your heart suppressed from a long period of time, perhaps going back to traumatic childhood events that are too unbearable to reveal and bring to light again. I would suggest the assistance of holisitc therapy, such as hypnosis or maybe even some one well skilled and trained in regressions or energy work.
And yes, Spirit is what created each and every single one of us. You may not believe in Divine Presence (or God) because of inner turmoil...how could God allow you to suffer like this, you may ask.
I'm having an event this weekend in New Jersey where you can possibly find others who can support you and help you to heal, among open-minded, caring, loving friends. Check out the event web site. Maybe I'll see you there :-)

In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most merciful.
We learn in Islam that this life is a test for the hereafter. The
holy Quran tells us that every soul shall have a taste of Death.
Death is a reality and it is something that we should be afraid
and worried about but for the right reasons.Life and death is in the hands of Almighty God and none can escape it as we have all been sent to this earth for an appointed term.
Now what is important to note that there are two aspects to
this fear of Death ,.Are you afraid to die because you are
going to loose the comforts of the world like loved ones,
wealth, position, power, friends etc.Or are you worried about
death because you are afraid of what is going to happen to
you after your death ?
If you are afraid of loosing life , loved ones , worldly comforts
etc then know that this is a life of deception and these aspects will be of no use to you on the day of judgment.
If you are afraid of death because of the unknown element
after it,then this is a good sign which shows that your inner being is inclined towards belief but for some reason you
are holding back from the truth.
Have you asked yourself why is it that you do not believe in
God? This is the biggest factor that you should be worried
about .Do you need proof of Gods existence ? Then ask for
the proof . you have a right to demand for proof .Or do you
deny Gods existence because of some tragedy that has befallen you ? or do you reject God because you reject the
concept of God practiced by you family and the society that
you live in ?
If you want peace in your life then you have to search for the
truth and the Truth will set you free,So what is the truth Then?
Is there a God ? Did this world create itself? Did you create
yourself???
let me introduce you to Islam. Islam is the religion of Almighty
God who is the creator of the universe and all that is in , above it and below it. Islam is an Arabic word that means to
submit yourself to the will of God.Submission to the will of god
means to believe In the Almighty ,and worship Him by obeying his commandments.Islam also means peace, so a
person attains peace with His Creator, with himself and with
society when he practises islam and such a person is called
a Muslim.Islam is the religion that was preached by our first
parent Adam , Propohet, Noah, Prophet Abraham, Prophet,
Moses, Prophet jesus and the last and Final prophet Muhammad[ peace and blessings be upon Him ].Each of
these Prophets Preached That there is only One God and
none has the right to be worshipped But Him The Almighty.
Why so ? Bexause he is the Creator , cherisher , Nourisher
and sustainer of the universe! the Everlining, The uncreated
The self substiting who needs no one but on whom all
creation Depends on .He the almighty is the one and only
without a second, He the almighty is self suffecient , He the
almighty does not begget nor was he begotton , and there is
nothing co equal or comparable unto him.And How do we
know all this ?
Because the Quran tells us so . And what Proofs are there?
You see Islam is based on a solid foundation wjth Proof. No
forced concepts that cannot be explained , No Blind faith in
Islam ! The Holy Quran is a Miracle of Miracles , It was revealed to The prophet Muhammad {pbuh } !400 years ago
and is the only religious scripture on the face of the earth
That is present in the original Form without a single letter or
word being Changed since !400 years after its revelation.
The Quran Gives you scientific facts about the Creation of
the Universe [ By the big bang } the creation of the embryo
in the mothers womb,It tells you with scientific presicion about
astronomy, about botany, about atmosphere, about zoology
about hundreds of scientific phenomen , which science has
discovered only Recently How come these scientific facts
would have been known By the prophet muhammad[pbuh]
1400 years ago unless it was told to him by the producer, the creator ,the maker who us Allah the one and only One God.
Ask God almighty to guide you to the truth , because if you
die in a state of disbelief, you will be brought fourth to face
the creator on the day of Judgement and then no one will be
able to help you. There is no place in between God has
created Heaven as a reward for those who believed in his
oneness and did righteous good deeds and has prepared
hell for the disbelievers and evil doers. So strive to worship
your lord so that you may recieve His blessings in this world
and the next.

I suffered from depression for many years too. I still have mental, and physical scars from that time. Now I don't have those same problems. I have learnt to move on, and not dwell on my fears. By doing this, the fears and worries have for the most part faded away. I have gone from being a bit of a waste of life, to becoming quite succesful. All without the need to resort to belief in some sky fairy. There is always hope, we just have to find it, and once we realise it is there, we need to start working our way towards it.
Coming out of depression is very difficult, but learning not to fall down that deep pit of darkness is even harder. It can be done though. I did it, and I know of many others. I don't regret having suffered from depression, it's an important part of my life. It has allowed me to move forward and help others, and i already know that the help and support I have given has been of benefit to a few people. It will be the same for you. You will get better, if you truly want to.

Sometimes when we experience great loss or even fear of something the chemicals in our brains can alter. Often the use of an antidepressant can help get things back to normal. Of course this is not a substitute for dealing with the issues that are ruling your mind, but may make them easier to deal with and work through.

Everyone has a God-shaped hole in their heart. When you try to fill that hole with other things or people it doesn't fill that void. It's like trying to put a square peg in a round hole, it doesn't work. Every person has a spirit and is made for a relationship with God. I believe you are searching and God is calling you by name because he wants you to be his child, to be part of his family. He wants to love you and comfort you and take your fear away.
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
Christianity is not about religion, it is about a relationship with God, our Heavenly Father. I don't know what your father is like, but God is perfect and is not like any earthly father. We all die some day, but Jesus, our Lord and Saviour has taken the sting out of death for those who believe and accept him.
Try reading the gospel of John in the new testament. You can email me if you have any questions. Take heart, don't give up, life is not pointless, you were put here for a reason. God doesn't have time to make a nobody, you are special.

Hello there ... Perhaps your depression is systemic? In other words, perhaps the issue of God is secondary to a clinical depression that could be caused by vitamin and mineral deficiencies as well as a lack of Omega oils. It can also be caused by negative energies / entities in one's energy field. You could also try taking the vitamin supplement 5HTP (the natural precursor to serotonin, extracted from griffonia seed.)
You are exhibiting signs of clinical depression ... perhaps a visit to an empathetic healer / nutritional counselor / homeopath who could do an assessment would be of benefit? I have read numerous studies linking clinical depression to nutritional deficiencies.
Please have a look at Patrick Holford's books on the subject (he specialises in the field of mental health):
http://www.patrickholford.com/content.asp id_Content=1279
He has extensive experience in psychology and working in the field of schizophrenia (I am not suggesting this is what you have, simply adding this information to allude to the fact that he is a learned man who has arrived at natural, non-chemical solutions to these problems).
For fear of death, and over-concern for loved ones, you can also try Bach Flower remedies: http://www.herbs2000.com/h_menu/1_bach_fl.htm
In the case of your kinds of fears, Mimulus and Red Chestnut refer.
Yes, death IS a reality that we all have to endure, but it is not the end ... it's just a hall-way inbetween one life and the next. I don't speak of dying, I say 'passing into the next dimension', which in truth is what it is.
These are simply my immediate impressions on reading your post. Please discard / ignore what strikes you as irrelevent. (I hope I have not offended anyone in offering this advice. It is borne of my own experiences of living with a parent who has endured mental illness ... If I have inadvertently done so, please forgive me.)
With kind wishes, Catherine
