that's the url to a picture of me with the blotchy spot :[

I have no idea how to get rid of it. The only stuff I had I lost, so is there anything around the house that could possibly get rid of it?
Keep in mind that no lotions or moisturizers work for it.

Help?!?

Lala, do not take anything you haven't first consulted with your dermatologist about it. You need a true diagnosis and recommendation. That's what they are there for. They have the education and experience. They know the questions to ask, and if they can't figure it out, who to send you to next.

As a hairdresser, if there is only a colored spot, with no pathology, I'd say to use make up. For a non-medical person to try to diagnose your complexion, or skin coloring is down-right irresponsible.

Cuts and blotches like those around the mouth are usually a sign of lack of certain nutrients in your diet. Creams etc. won't fix them. Just don't scratch or pick at it, or put any chemicals onto it. You might need to take supplements (like Vitamin C or Lysine) to prevent them from coming back.

Ahhh, you have Herpes! Abreva usually works within a day. If you're desparate, ask your doc for some anti-virals. It's a life-long dysfunction, so have fun!
