My family and his family are really close friends and I've know this guy for almost 4 years now. He's only 5 months older than me, we're both 17 but he'll be 18 before i am. Everytime I get off the phone from talking with him, he lives in another city, I always have the biggest smile on my face and I'm usually happy for the rest of the week at least I'm told. I don't know what I'm feeling for this guy, but I do know that he makes me laugh and I have so much fun talking to him every chance I get. We have so much in common and we always give each other advice if we have a problem. But for once this is a advice I cannot go to him for.

Sounds like you love him, or at least you are crushing hard for him.
Problem is he lives in another city. So you can't turn this close friendship into something more right now.
Keep in touch with him and then if somehow you can manage to live closer together, you could pursue these feelings with him. But doing that now would be kinda difficult due to the distance.

Could be love, trouble is theres only one way to know. I had this recently. A couple years of great talks and wonderful times, then we decided to date. Since we knew each other so well we had sex in less than a week after we were together, she got really annoying, and I had to break it off. It's weird how my feeligns changed for her so fast. Keep doing what you're doing. WHen you're both adults give it a real shot if you still feel the same way. Chances are it will work out :)

if you have to ask it isn't. I am not saying that is not the beginning of love but you are not i love yet. It doesn't sound like you guys have passed the friendship point at the moment. If your scared of rejection joke around about you and him getting together and see how he reacts that way there are no awkward moments and you can find out how you should proceed with the relationship.

I don't think you are in love. If you were, you wouldn't even have to ask.
Love is an over powering feeling that hits hard.
I think you just like him a whole lot. That's good. He sounds like a great friend!

I dont think it's love just yet...I think love involves interaction like how he is when he's mad in general and mad at you. In vice versa. And how you both feel when away from one another. It involves conversations up close and sometimes its what you both dont say sitting in silence. Body movements and eye wandering can be signals. love involves so much. Dont jump the gun but i'd say your feeling him. I would ask him questions like how he feels about you and if you're his type. gl

It's an established enough relationship that I would call it love.... not lust or infatuation. Grab him before he gets a girlfriend.

actually, this sounds like infatuation. infatuation isn't really love, it's just heady emotions. of course, love can come from infatuation, but infatuation isn't love. it lacks the choice to love and the commitment of love, and is really only emotions.

I don't think it's love- yet. It sounds like something worth pursuing though.

To borrow the words from a song, "if it knocks you off your feet, then it's love..."
