I bleach my hair ever month or so and i still haven't figured out if rubbing it by warming it or keeping it wet is best to speed up bleaching process or just leave the bleach in and don't mess with it. Someone told me when bleach drys it stops so i usually rub it with gloves and add more and more but i don't know if i'm helping it or is it just a waste of time.

i didn't mean rub it in the scalp the roots for some reason bleach really quick probally cause its near the warm scalp i just mean the orangish color from previously. Think of Rouge from X-men thats how my hair is blond in front brown in back and I touch up the front with bleach every month or more. The roots never get as light as bottom and when I re-do it again i get like 3 shades of yellow but they blend really good. I got pictures of me on my space. http://www.myspace.com/mogsonmushrooms the first few pics are my hair after a month and then you can tell i recently bleahed it after the south park character. I read on a site that heat kinda speeds it up but would a blow dryer on low be too much? They say wear a cap but i can't do that cause i don't do my whole head.

heat will speed up the process as it opens up the hair folicle allowing the bleach to enter the hair shaft and do its job!

Rubbing bleach is a good way to give yourself blisters, and never be able to have any kind of chemical treatment again. DO NOT DO THAT!
Speeding up bleaching doesn't happen, chemically. You can prevent the bleach from stopping, but that must be done by a well-trained professional because of the dangerous nature of the process. I will not say how it is done, for your own good. If you aren't getting the results you want, seek the help of a seasoned professional who can help you get what you want. Good luck.
