energy nor matter( which is stored energy) can be created or destroyed. where does thought fit into this picture? ok, i know i'm not very smart, but hopefully someone can fill me in. what is a thought?

Thought is also a form of energy. Everything that ever was (matter) started as a thought before it became a tangible thing. In some ways, thought is a form of energy that can control the energy of matter.

No, seriously, thought is a pattern of electrical pulses in the nerve cells of the brain. It can be thought of as ripples in the sea of consciousness.

Consciousness itself is the most interesting thing about us as human beings and the place scientists should look for a connection between the material and the spiritual, the reality of the personality, the objective and the subjective.

If you don't believe in yourself as a spiritual, non-material being, who is it that you are when you're dreaming?
