After a personal quest to find the truth about the Jesus Myth,
I can tell you that the proof is out there for anyone willing to
look. The translated Dead Sea Scrolls mentions that Jesus
was married to Mary Magdeline and that they had many
children. Also it was James, not Jesus who went on many
pilgrimages to spread the word of what was to become,
Christianity. The early Romans wanted to control the populace through fear. And a group of religious
teachers who were the forerunners to the Roman Catholic
Church began their own practices and beliefs. They set their foundation into practice long after the time of what we know today as the life of Christ. He was not crucified on the cross as the bible states. He lived out his life as a rabbi, and did everything in accordance to the Jewish mandates. There is much to be learned from the history of religion. And the churches of today, continue to perpetuate the false teachings of the bible for monetary rewards. They know if the truths were exposed, there would be no use for churches or ministers or priests, etc. And they'ed all be without a job.
And since the Roman Catholic church is the richest religion
in the world, they're not about to give up their means of rich living.
They have hidden in the bowels of the Vatican, the Dead
Sea Scrolls that weren't allowed to be translated. They didn't
expect those that were, to be exposed to all mankind. There
is an interest for many today, to learn the truth, and live with
it. We've found alot of books in book stores, and there are
a couple that are harder to find due to being out of print. But
nevertheless. the truth is out there for anyone to read and
be enlightened. And once they are, the weight of guilt will be
removed for the rest of their lives. Even tho, they will also have
to live with the realization, that there is no Heaven and Hell.
To those enlightened souls, we know it exists, right here on earth.

Okay...Let's go da Vinci Code here....

According to traditional teaching, Jesus did not have sex. There are accounts, however, claiming that he was in fact married to Mary Magdalene and that she was pregnant at the time of his Crucifixion. This theory goes on to say that the bloodline of Christ still exists in Europe. (Bully: My dad can beat up your dad....
Kid: Yeah, but my great-great-granddaddy can send your dad to Hell!)

Here are the facts as I know them.

With the exception of ministering to the ministers when he was a child, Jesus did not begin his ministry/teaching until he was about 30. Before that, he was a carpenter 9and stone mason). If he did have sex, he didn't brag about it to his disciples...or if he did, they didn't see any need to write it down.

My question has always been--If the philosophy is good, does it matter? The rest is religious mambo-jumbo that doesn't really count for anything anyways...

From a biblicall perspective, no he did not. How can I say that?

1. He was a Jew
2. Jews considered it a sin to have sex outside of marriage.
3. It is stated that he was sinless.

Okay lets look at the objection that maybe he was married and it was reported. This can't be because of another biblica reference that the Church is the bride of Christ and he is the Bridegroom. Indicating that he has not been married before.

Get out the book and read it. It will do you alot more good than surfing here at night.

Jesus, A man of his times lived as all people did then. A man married early, had a family and raised his children. To think that he did other wise is foolish.Jesus was turned into this religious figure we see today many years after his death by greedy religious leaders looking to flesh out the congregation and make a buck. Jesus spoke of love and understanding and that was all...

Depends on who you ask. Many mormons believe that G-d had actual physical relations with Mary and that G-d has a corporal existence, including genitals (believe me, I asked them straight out). But I'm no expert and I think they may differentiate in their concept of G-d, and how Jesus fits in, meaning, I don't know how they see Jesus. Most Christians, I think, would say that he is a virgin. There is a great fictional book which discusses this topic, and Jesus remains celebit, which is most likely the reason monks and priests do. Not only to be closer to Jesus, but because he sacrificed in the same way. But I'm no expert, but this is the gist of my learnings. Funny it never came up in college. I don't think there are any references in the bible that have been interpreted to mean that Jesus had any physical relationships. That is a more scholarly point of view for you.

One more thing, I think there are some gnostic gospels which indicate he did have relations with Mary. I think that came out with the questionable finding of the "Gospel of Judas" which isn't really considered gnostic but isn't in the canon either.

Don't thumb me down because you disagree. Thumb me down cuz you think I'm an idiot.

If indeed he was married, as some claim, then the answer to your question is yes, he had sex. Probably lots of it. So what? It does not really change anything - his life, his mission, his divinity because he was also a man.

Peace and blessings!

As Muslims we know that jesus [pbuh] was not married as
there are no such records present. We believe that he Was a
righteous prophet of God and would not commit such a sin.
Is it not better that we concentrate on the real message of jesus
[pbuh ] and not worry about matters that have no basis.

Jesus is the son of God. His sole purpose was to give his life as a sacrifice so that whoever would believe in Him would have eternal life. We all have sinned and would not go to Heaven BUT Jesus sacrificed himself so all your sins would be covered by His blood if you will believe. In order for His sacrifice to be capable of covering our sins He had to be sin-less. As there is no reference in the Bible about Jesus marrying, any sex outside of the marriage covenant would be sin, specifically the sin of fornication.
