i heard a temp agency was a really fast and easy way to find a job. my sister in law said i should go to one tomorrow..if i go, what should i bring with me? what should i be prepared to do? how should i dress if it is my first time going in to the temp agency? thanks

Temp agencies are a fantastic way to go... show up with your drivers license, social security card and be prepared as you would for any other interview. You will likely take the office tests right then, and could even be sent immediately to interview with another company to work. Be completely up front about your abilities and schedule and you will find you are a desirable asset to them.

Okay. First off, take it like any other first time appearance interview. With temp agencies, you'll need your resume, if you dont have one .... make sure you have your previous work experiance and contact info. Other than that, You'll be doing a lot of paperwork then they'll try to find you something. Good Luck. Hope it works out for you.
Dont feel bad if they dont have anything open. Sometimes it takes time for openings. If you want quick money for one days worth of work ... go to labor ready.

Dress business casual, bring a resume, and be prepared to take some typing & MSOffice-related tests (if it's mostly office jobs they contract for).

dress for business..these are the people that will get you in front of employers and get you the salary you requested but make sure you are clear on that number or else u will get stuck in a range that doesn't suite u
