I am curious how many christians out there do spiritual warfare? I mean really praying against the devil. Or have we become comfortable in our churchs. The devil is out there and it is so scary that christians are afraid to rebuke and bind those evil forces at work.. rebuke them.. Bind the strongman in the heavens cut it cords,, God has given his angels charge over us, NO harm will become us,, We have authority in Jesus name..We have to stand up againt the enemy himself,, these non believers on here are just pawns of the devil they do not know any better.. We have to fight the spiritual war that is going on..
I see alot of praying even in my church but no one really goes deep into battling the Devil.
Greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world..
Come on christians wake up from your slumber.

Thanks for the awesome reply,,
As far as everyone else goes I understaad that we all have the work of the enemy within us to. I am not saying that. And
I do not challenge Satan on MY own authority, I do it in the name of Jesus, that is in MY Bible..

Our body is the temple of the holy spirt BUT keep in mind that in the old testament the temole was divided into three main sections, the outer court, the holy place and the holy of holies. Anyone could enter the outter court even foreigners, the holy spirt dwells int the holy place and the holy of holies.
It similar to our bodies, the holy spirit dwells in our spirit or hearts, the demons in our body.
Jesus always cast Out demons, never said release your grip. HE commanded them out..

I agree that we as Christians as a whole have stopped educating ourselves and each other about spiritual warfare. I think a lot of times that is why we get blindsided.

I do disagree with you about rebuking Satan. I can't find anywhere in my bible where it says we should challenge Satan.

In fact I think of the archangel Michael when he was disputing with satan over Moses body, instead of rebuking satan, he said, "the Lord rebuke thee"

Christ has the power to rebuke him.

In China,

If you are truly a Christian, then you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. There is no room for satan. It is our own flesh that war against God's will. Our sin nature is gone, but our flesh is weak. That is why God will change us once we recieve our new bodies in heaven. As christians, Satan can't make us do anything. He can only tempt us to do it, but God always provides a way out 1 Corinthians 10:13

You should not have put please non-believers stay away, it only encourages people who are not Christian to post.

I am not a Christian, Jew, nor Muslim. I am a Buddhist.

A lot of people pray. However, a lot of people do not take action. The only suffering that exists, is the suffering that we create for ourselves.

Those who are not Christian, are your enemies? That is a sad belief and only causes suffering. Fulfill what it means to be a Christian for yourself, don't crusade against others that do not share your belief. It is unfair and goes against the notions of the golden rule.

Don't be the source of someone's suffering. I think to be a true Christian is to understand Jesus' role as a compassionate benefactor of humanity not a person who is zealous and seeks to pursue goals that undermine the choices of others. There is no Satan. The only suffering that takes place, again, is inside yourself. Heal yourself and be a symbol of oneness with your faith. Satan is a scapegoat. Satan doesn't temp you. Things tempt you and these things are concept that has developed from our existence and the systems of living we have created. But, above all, you are responsible for yourself.

I do you no harm in being a Buddhist, I simply do not share your beliefs.

PS. You shouldn't discourage non-believers. It's healthy to have polite debate, and no one is saying, you have to believe me. I am just giving you an alternative perspective.

Well, I'm a Christian, but I don't believe non-believers work for the devil. The devil is right in my heart. I always fall short of God's expectations partially because Satan works in my heart and partially b/c of my own sin. I only fight against the devil inside of me. I respect all other religions and atheists. Most Christians, including me, are no way better than them.

If you let God guide your prayers instead of going off by yourself like a bull in a china shop, He'll give you people or nations to pray for, including yourself and those close to you, even those close to you in the past.

He will not urge you to confront Satan directly except in special circumstances, and then only when backed up fully by His power.

I agree we should learn and be versed in spiritual warfare. But fasting is one of the first, basic requirements for success, and how many people are even willing to do that nowadays? (For more than a day).

Anytime we pray and fast we conduct spiritual warfare.

How many times has things in our life gone hay wire after a deep prayers session, many times for me. I guess if Satan's minions are tormenting us, they are leaving someone else alone.
I have seen many things in this realm and the other realms to fully know we are in spiritual warfare constantly.

Greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world..

very funny, but you're busted. Because, I've seen this before. It's not plagiarism if it's satire, especially in this age of "sampling". It's from interviews with rosicrucians. Order of the Golden Dawn, I if I recall correctly. Early part of the 20th century. An obese, minor-noble pommy guy disowned by family, who in one photo has his head shaved except for two tufts on his temples greased-up to look like little demons horns. A madman, ruddy-faced and sweating while he trawled the dank alley-ways for local boys.

Careful not to take this on without good solid knowledge. Never mock satan. Only the greater of the supernatural - Jesus- can overcome the lesser supernatural.
Persons should be instructed before approaching this subject.
But, I have to agree that I am guilty of not spending enough time with Jesus.

I put my Armor of God on daily to thwart those firey darts that satan flings at me! But those darts cannot penetrate my heart that houses The Holy Spirit!! God does not give us a spirit of fear, but strength in Him for the battle that's rages on. How comforting it is to know that Jesus has already won the battle and sentenced satan. We're just waiting for satan's execution. How sad it is to know that satan's puppets are blind, deaf and ignorant of Our Loving Savior. Satan's tool may be deception, but my tool is His Word. Continue in the battle that Christ claims the Victory!! Your sister in Christ

Satan can presume no authority over me. I am filled with the righteousness of God.

However I do rebuke Satan daily and sometimes more often if bad thoughts come into my mind.

I am awake, but thanks for the reminder.
