Redken was one of the first shampoo products formulated by Jheri Redding (now deceased.) It's an excellent product. As one of the other answerers mentioned, if you were going to be allergic to any of the ingredients, it would have been when you started using it. At least usually. Sometimes we do develop sensitivities, which aren't allergies, to different things, occasionally. They can come and go. It can also be something, like chlorine, in the water. Chlorine is usually added to drinking water on a monthly basis, which may explain it. It may not, too. Tracking down itchiness can be frustrating. It can be from so many sources, or changing sources, that knowing what was causing it may never happen. If it lasts a long time, say another month or two, only when you wash your hair, then, at least temporarily, change to another shampoo. I always recommend Nexus -another Jheri Redding formula. It was the last one he formulated before died.

I don't think that it is the shampoo. For one, Redken is a very good brand. And two, if you were going to have a reaction, you would have had one when you first used it.

Its not your hair that's itching its your scalp,it may not be the shampoo itself thats making you itch, It might be that your not rinsing your hair good enough. No matter what shampoo you use you should use another brand every once in awhile to give your hair a break.

It dehydrates your scalp. I find that Mane and Tail is a great conditioner for rehydrating your scalp. Try it out.
