The rapture can occur at anytime now. The rapture is when Christ returns for the church, He does not set foot on earth at this time however. The dead in Christ will rise first and those alive (believers) will immediately follow. The tribulation period of 7 years will follow soon after the rapture and at the end of the tribulation period after the battle of Armageddon Christ will return to earth at the mount of Olives. Following that return will be the start of the "Millennium" where Christ will reign for 1000 years and the world will see peace. T the end of the 1000 years comes the Great White Throne Judgment where those whose names are not found in the :Lambs book of Life " will be cast into the lake of fire(non believers). See book of Daniel and book of Revelation.

No.
In fact, it says, "you will not know the day, or the hour...." and that you should not believe anyone who says that they do.
God himself is the only one who knows when the world will end; no one else. He says only, to be ready when it occurs -- not to try to deduce when it is.
A bunch of people are about to post here telling you about a so-called "rapture" (not a term ever found in Scripture, by the way). which is a super-secret "return" of Christ any day now to collect the faithful to meet him in the air. But in fact, when he comes back, it will not be any kind of secret event, for all will see it and all will hear it.
A lot of the events prophesied in Scripture that rapturists use to point to the end times being in the immediate future were in fact fulfilled long ago at the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70. For a VERY detailed discussion of this position and the amillenial view of the end times, I suggest "Rapture: The End Times Error That Leaves the Bible Behind" by David Currie; and The Rapture Trap by Paul Thigpen is good, too. Both of these are written by Catholic authors and I'm not Catholic, but the books are excellent.

Jesus says that some of his listeners will not taste death before he comes again in his kingdom. This was said almost 2000 years ago.

The Bible clearly states that not even Jesus knew; "No man knoweth the day or the hour; not even the Son, but only the Father." By definition, anyone who claims to know is a false prophet and a deceiver. And you know what God says we should do with *them*...

The Bible gives three answers to your question.
1. Jesus' return will be imminent/near/soon.
2. No one knows the exact hour of His return.
3. First the gospel must be preached to all nations (ethne).
P.S. Please forgive Keith for his obnoxiously long response.

No one know the time or the day, according to the Bible. There are many things that will take place first and many have already taken place, so it would seem that the time is very close. But, close? How long is 'close'?
