there is acrylic paint for paper (make sure you use a heavy stock paper or it will go through), but you need to make sure it's artist's paint and not craft paint. basics and reeves makes a beginner's paint, there is also windsor newton, and van gogh, which are better quality paints. since you're beginning, i'd go with basics, get cadmium red, alizeren crimson, cadmium yellow, yellow ochre, black, white, pthhalo blue, ultramarine, and colbalt blue, you can mix all colors but a royal purple with these. if you want royal purple, then get that one too. have fun!

You can use acrylic paint to paint on paper, wood, concrete, canvas. Compared to oil paint it is difficult to blend colors but is if you paint glases one over the other it can be done. I f you had an airbrush it would be easy. I artist I read about used a perfume atomizer to keep the paint moist and accomplished good blendinf effects this was and it would be a lot less expensive than purchasing an air brush and compressor

Acrylic paint comes in many varieties. You have special paint for models and other paint for canvas. When you paint models you need a light, non textured finish to your painting...when painting 'art' you want to have some more body to your paint.

Both acrylic...both different paints.

There are many types of acrylic paint. The st to use in illustration is probably on canvas just like oils, or other gesso'd surface. Working with acrylic paint can be daunting as the paint dries quickly. blending ant moxing are more time limited. With work and the right technique acrylics can rival oil paintings.

You can use it on any surface you like ! Try the paints you have already and see how you get on however I'd suggest buying a paint marketed specifically for painting pictures as it will probably be better quality . Here in U.K. you can buy cheap sets of paints in places like post offices and bookstores for hardly any money that are usable but not much fun to use. Try and look for a brand by a reputable name such as liquitex or winsor and newton labelled student quality. Your art shop should be able to help

It's ok to use on paper, ( I don't know if I'd use it on copy paper though, kinda wasteful and not a great medium for acrylics) There are other, better, surfaces. I'd ask the people at the art supply store though, they should be of assistance.

I know it okay to use on canvas so I would think you can use it on paper too, but with any paint the issue is whether the paper can hold the paint and dry without warping.

Yes, I have used acrylic on paper and it works fine. You can even water it down and use it almost as a watercolor.

Happy painting! Oh, and be careful with your clothing--acrylic stains!
