Adobe Photoshop help?

I'm a novice when it comes to photoshop, but I need to do an assignment for school. I need to take an image from one picture and put it onto another picture. The problem is that one image is fuzzy and the other one is clear so when I put them together it doesnt look right.

I have 2 questions, #1 what is it called when you take a picture of something and put it onto another picture and #2 how do I make them look close to each other (either both fuzzy or both clear)

1) merge

2) you can "blur" your clear picture (after its added to the second) when its on its own layer. use the Filter > Blur settings to play around with it to make it seem like the 1st pic
