the federal government comes to a decision who that is going to and could not deport. President Obama final June offered artwork visas to easily approximately 2 million illegals and promise them they gained't be deported. the certainty is that deportation has not something to do with the value to deport. that is political. The Democrats and now the Republicans elect get Latino votes. you're precise approximately this technique costing US taxpayers billions of greater funds helping those illegals. getting rid of hundreds of thousands of illegals may be as uncomplicated as going inspite of each thing of the employers of illegals and can value a fragment of the value of deportation. Heavy fines on employers might additionally help pay for greater enforcement.

This sounds kind of fishy . . . So your mother didn't get deported, just your father? I take it you were born here? Your parents, if they were married both probably had green-cards?
If they weren't married, and your mother had permenent resident status, I can see that they could deport your dad.
HOWEVER: From what I understand about this kind of thing, they deport illegals in groups, and not individuals. In that case they would have taken your mother too, and a whole bunch of people where they worked, or lived or socialized.
To single out one mexican, of thousands, and deport him at 5:30 in the morning? It seems kind of fishy . . .
It sounds to me like somebody's hiding something from you.
If your father committed any kind of crime, he could get singled out and deported like that, even if he is a permanent resident.
The lawyers might have their hands tied. Also, he can't come visit you guys??
Best of luck with all of this sweetie, get all of your facts lined up. That will be your arsenal, make that your high-school graduation project. I am sorry that that happened to your family. Ignore the bigots that replied to your question. They are horribly selfish and insensitive. Some people have no capacity to empathize.

So your Dad was legal, because you mention he had papers...and they took them away. If thats the case, then he must have broken a law in order for immigration to come for him. I'm sure that his lawyers should have worked harder on his behalf, but if his papers were revoked, then its a minimum of 10 years before they will accept another application for residency. Its a tough situation, but if you were born here, at least you can go visit him.
If he tries to enter illegally, he will be with you, but if caught he will go to jail for at least 6 mos. You are upset, Im sure, but the only thing that will change our government is your vote, and the vote of others in similar situations. I know you are not old enough to vote yet, but you can protest, or let other people know your story.
Good Luck with everything and dont let the hateful people get you down!

you have to consult a lawyer to check on the legalities why he was deported in the first place and if it's really the "mistake" of his former lawyer that his paperworks were neglected, he could have a case. 10year ban for people who were deported from U.S. you will be turning 18 in two years and you could petition him but again, the legalities should be considered and it's best to consult an immigration lawyer. some of them give free consultation. good luck!

I know someone who works with this organization, they help people overcome domestic abuse in immigrant families... I know thats pretty different than what you are asking about, but try to contact them and they might be able to point you in the right direction and tell you how to get him here legally.
Maybe they can recommend a lawyer who actually do his job and not "lose" the paperwork. I don't really know...
Its so difficult to be legalized here. My stepmother came here legally and her daughter too... its very hard.
Hopefully your dad didn't do anything wrong besides being here illegally.
The people at Tapestri are good people, and its people that they care about and not whether you are legal or illegal.
Good luck to you and your dad!!
Look for some social workers who work with and represent immigrants in your community maybe they will be able to help.

go back home with your dad, i have no pity for you, blame this on your parents for being illegal lawbreakers. see what happens when someone gets involved with a criminal, the kids suffer!!! yea blame the lawyers, your father didn't do his job or did it illegally, that's why he's not with you. uh duh, he's in mexico cause that's where he belongs!!!
