Ok, here goes.....

My theory is that when God created Adam and Eve he did without a physical vessel, much like angels.

Meanwhile back on earth, primates were slowly evolving into what we call humans today.

My theory is, when these evolved primates started to develop common sense and free will was the exact time when God condemned Adam to earth.

So, Adam and Eve merged with these physical vessel to become humans. Adam is like the soul, he is what differentiates us from animals.

Well it's sorta messy but you get what i'm trying to say right? I may be wrong on so many levels but thats why it's called a theory.

So how do you find my theory?

Quite an interesting theory, how do you do all this thinking?

Anyway it is understandable...i shall leave it at that.

Need to go do some thinking now, this theory triggers many thoughts.

You don't need to quite so 'umble.

Did you really come across this "theory" recently and are geniunely interested in responses? Or is it subterfuge? You wouldn't be the only person (regulars, one-offs & two-week jobs like me) who are second-guessing the range of answers you'll attract ...... flicking the odds toward particular Answers getting a recurrent airing in this forum. Without asking the same question repeatedly (or noticeable versions, rewordings thereof)

BTW, the notion that "created in His image" might mean more than five-finger-five-toes etc blah and refer to "man" (sic!) as choice-maker, self-conscious and group-conscious. It was news to me, here in R&S, at the same kitchen table and window I'm at now, just the other day (about last new moon).

Much more sophisticated reading of who spaketh what on the sixth day of creation, as the story goes. It's still no reason to believe that Noah squeeeeezed the dinosaurs into an ark by taking only hatchlings. Or that, Bilquis, Queen of Sheba, magically transported herself from Yemen to Medina, or anywhere. Or that god ever "told" anyone to kill/displace any/all of the people they find living in land they believe is theirs.

Your theory is not your own theory and is pretty much the spiritual truth as taught by the Roman Catholic Church. So while the truth, which is why God and Science in fact compliment each other, as does Evolution and Creation, not entirely original. This is the truth that I've always thought and came to truly know upon my spontaneous Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

it's better than some theories i've heard. It at least recognizes evolution and spirituality. But how does the "And there was morning and there was night, the ___ day" quote from the Bible fit into that? i suggest people written, but then how did they get Adam and Eve right? not trying to destroy you're theory, but offering some constructive criticism.

that's interesting, and i thought of that too once, but then i learned that Adam was placed on the earth directly from God and not by any other means. we were already created spiritually before we came to Earth to have a body.

That's not a theory, but it's an interesting reading of Genesis. Cool form of the gap-hypothesis you've got here.

The word "theory" implies a scientific hypothesis supported by vast amounts of empirical data (something that you don't have).

It beats the Hell out of Creation at least. Though you still have a biological dilemma: no genetic diversity. Humans wouldn't last more than a few generations with that much inbreeding.

A right load of b0!!0cks.

How is it testable? What test could you do to prove it wrong? What credible evidence is it based on.

At best it is wild speculation. It is no way even close to a theory.
