The story of Adam and Eve is a metaphor. The point is to read between the lines and understand the underlying moral and guidance behind the story. That is why faith is considered faith!
This may come as a shock but Adam and Eve's sin was not eating an apple, it was having sex. Think about it...you'll see.

The Adam and Eves' story is a fanciful, familiar, communal, and likely a real one. It includes all humans. It doesnot confuse humans with other creation of the creator. And hence it is simple, more comprehendable than the evolutionary theories. It has a begining and a hopeful, dreamy and a heavenly ending.
The evolutionary theories are logical and factual around a given postulate e.g humans could have evolved from primates because we share a few biological chracteristics. Or general observations or a study of living things allows a scientific analysis that living things can be classified from one-cell level of organisms to multi-cell level of organisms. Hence with a logical postulate, one could argue ( just for the sake of arguing) that humans are more evolved because they are multi-cell creatures.
Does that also mean that the studies of these physical phenomena negate the existence of metaphysical reality where humans came directly from our creator?
It is more sensical to believe that the ultimate source of power is in the metaphysical creator and in his most talked about story of human birth.
Actually evolutionary theories can be humorous while we continue to explore creators' creation.
For example the evolutionary hypothesis could be..... assume that Africa was our ancestral birth place because we are the highest level of primates.
Can you imagine that our "primitive" ancestors had a long nomadic travel in 4-5 groups of Baboons with white, yellow, black and brown Afros and some with half shut eyes, taking billions of years to reach Europe, Mongolia, Southern India, and Australia. The ones who refused to travel stayed back in Africa. A smart move for a primitive humanoid, Lucy.
Hope you enjoyed it.

Adam and Eve is the spiritual representation of the descent of the human spirit to earth from the divine above with God, and through physical evolution and now spiritual evolution, our Way back to our Father. Jesus Christ is the Master of the Way back to up to our Father, the One True God of All in All.
This is the Roman Catholic message of the spiritual truth, and it's the truth. They accept evolution, and know its a part of CREATION of GOD, since He created everything, including the scientific processes that are discovered every day!

simple... they don't. Adam and Eve= story passed down to explain what our ancestors couldn't understand; Evolution= research based theory that has been tested time and time again resulting in empirical evidence to suggest it is an actual truth, not a story.

please do not suggest that is how the world was literally created. we must remember that God wasnt speaking to scientists (although even we at this time do not understand the complexity of our universe) rather to people that lived thousands of years ago.
if this is the way God chose to describe how he made the world, knowing we would work out that it cannot be literally true, then who am i to say it would have been better if it had been explained anyother way.

Because I have a book that tells me all about how I was made and that book is made from many books written by many different people all saying the same thing. And you have nothing to support the theory of human evolution.

Because the Adam and Eve story actually occured, and evolution is a fairy tale. If we actually evolved from monkeys or apes, how come monkeys and apes still exist? you are on the right path!
